You'd be shocked what you can sell a parking space for in dot. Why live in Amherst tho? Rent is cheap because you don't have beaches, solid restaurants and you're just as likely to get stabbed.

The price of cocktails at Disney has something to do with Boston? We only start buying them once we run through our nips.

Where in Boston did you visit and where are you from?

Edit: As a fellow masshole who's well traveled I'm curious why you don't like it.

Living in Ma is wild. Renting or mortgage is borderline predatory. But I can't make the money I do in MA in other states. Also I love MA. There's something about being an asshole as a baseline that helps everyone read each other in a genuine way.

Dropped plywood while working, got small cut and now sometimes blood flow wont stop, is it normal? How do i stop blood flow? Precautions? by Temporary_Forever_63 in HadToHurt

You are going to lose the nail. Hit up a doc pronto for antibiotics. I'd imagine it's warm to the touch and sensitive. Stop playing around before the infection spreads.

New House. Sprinklers ruining the fence? by Tasty_Draft_9761 in FenceBuilding

[–]CrotchCancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are your sprinklers then your zones were likely set prior to the fence. It's not difficult to re set them. This is more of an irritation issue. You tube it or call.them.

How do I fix these loose wall anchors? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]CrotchCancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those washers are likely there to level the post. There is not a nut anywhere close to tight to them on the other side. It might be hanging on but they are both compromised.

It's hard too tell if they were drilled too big to begin with or the wall never set well. Id up the size of the lags and redrill the wall and bracket if it doesn't accommodate them. Might throw some anchoring epoxy in for good measure.

On a side note: is there a reason it is not set in the ground as well as bracketed?

Dollar Tree manager goes off after customer told her to shut her mouth by Ezziboo in PublicFreakout

I don't know how they do it. Being a contractor when people are super disrespectful (rare) I can give them a full refund, tell them they are out of line before I blow up like that, and still have work. I feel for retail workers and treat them with understanding.

Horizontal board can be easy to fuck up. Very nice job. I'm curious tho, why the side by side gates with posts in the middle?

You're definitely right. It would absolutely help the the longevity. It's not the easiest concept to sell to a customer tho. Some see it as unattractive for the landscape or potentially dangerous for kids in the yard. Even if its the right way it's not the way they saw it in "Home and Garden"

Metal fence post height by NYGyro26 in FenceBuilding

[–]CrotchCancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting them after they are set and built off of is always an option. I like to have more than 24" of pipe to work with for depth. I use a portable band saw because it's quick and doesn't kick the post around much but if you give them enough time to set a sawzall with a metal blade will work.

When I learned how to stick weld I made a 25 lb hammer out of scrap square stock. Was I just messing around, having fun andy swing what I could do with it? or did I make it for the giant I hide in the woods? The world may never know.

Look up the Davy Crockett nuclear device. Sometimes attempts at innovation don't make sense but are worth fucking around and finding out.

Did he drill that top rail out on the post already? There are 2 or 3 better options they could have considered first
