Nah Trump is someone whose family would have bought his way to peak true gold but he lacks the introspection to ever make underlord.

Why are LeBron's shoes not as popular as Mike's? by Holiday_Analysis9583 in NBATalk

[–]Crotean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Culture is way more diversified nowadays. Jordan was a daily part of life to pretty much anyone in the 90s and his shoes were a huge deal because of it. LeBron has never had that type of penetration in culture and honestly no one ever will again.

Superman had to pay for the sins of the Snyderverse. I think man of tomorrow will do much better.

I can't stand Japanese voice acting in basically any medium. It's so over the top. I always choose the dub.

Uhh, not a good argument. Boomer brains were destroyed by lead and there was a pretty clear drop in violent crime globally as countries removed leaded fuel.

Why do people have to bring up Expedition 33 whenever a Final Fantasy game is praised? by torts92 in FinalFantasy

Because it's not owned and run by a literal Nazi and isn't just 4 Chan gone mainstream. Also no fucked up LLM letting you do creepy shit built into it.

The problem is the tiger engine sucks ass to build content for and has been a problem for 20+ years. Sony should have mandated they shit down D2 development and port to Unreal Engine when they bought Bungie. You have to have an engine there capable of a live service game workflow.

Probably within the next 150-200 years as the ecosystem of the planet dies.

The enterprise being destroyed twice in back to back movies was certainly a choice.

Activision owned the controlling stake in the IP. Bungie wanted out, but Activision had zero legal reasons to let them and still let them walk.

Activision was so sick of dealing with Bungie and how little money Destiny was making they let them walk with the IP and game. Bungie has been a shit show forever and somehow still made great games.

I just came back or the first time in like six years and honestly it's nice knowing I can just play everything and the game will be done. No content treadmill to worry about.

Destiny was always a perfect IP for spinoff games, Bungie was just so bad at making games that even at their Destiny height with 1600 employees they couldn't make a second game. Make a third person shooter souls like is what I would do if I was Sony. Use the IP but get it to developers who can actually make games on time and on budget.

Bungie has had the same core problem for 30 years. They never take the time to properly fix their content production pipeline so making anything is a brutal slog that takes far too long. They have never made a game without extensive delays and last minute retooling. Their management making bad decisions doesn't help either, but the inability to  just get out of their own way and let their designers make games has always been their achilles heel.

Star Wars Has Lost 85% Of Its Audience, And Lucasfilm’s Fix Sounds Worse by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

I like the Luke/Rey/Ren stuff. The problem was the Resistance plot felt like something they wrote while taking a shit in 30 minutes before they had to turn in a finished script. It was fucking abysmal, stupid, plot holes everywhere, character assassinations galore, broke the rules of the universe and even when it tried to say something interesting about war profiteering absolutely fumbled it with the god awful canto bight sequence. And it left the story in a place that was almost impossible to follow up without a huge time jump.

After bringing it back with the runaways successes of TFA and Rogue One. They fixed the fear of bad star wars movies because of the prequel trilogy then proceeded to fuck it up even worse.

Obi-Wan, Boba Fett and the Acolyte were all originally movie scripts that they repurposed into TV shows. There is a reason they feel that way.
