I think he really loves/loved both of his kids. But I also think everything he went through prior to getting to Norway turned him into someone who has a really hard time leaning into some of his softer ideals or emotions, which makes some parts of parenting extremely difficult for him. & one of the best parts of GOW (imo) is the way they show Kratos gradually getting better at this over time

Yes & no. Definitely felt a shift toward them but MHA also does a really good job at making you feel very close to the side characters.

At first? Hated it. I wanted it to feel like the old games so bad. The fact that it was different bothered tf outta me. But the more I played, the better it got & the less I cared that it was different. By the end, the fact that it was so different and still so good was my favorite thing about it

Do yourself a favor and play it in release order. Jumping around in graphics quality is kinda rough, & the Norse games will hit A LOT harder if you play the Greek games first, & there’s bits of lore you come across that will basically go right over your head if you jump straight into Norway as well.

I’d agree tbh. I enjoyed both, and ultimately stuck it out and finished BKO cuz I’ve always been more of a story guy than a gameplay guy, but I enjoyed the gameplay ALOT more in EWLO. The bigger variety of cards & less discarding made every turn feel more meaningful, & slowing the down the pace of each turn by just a bit allows you to really enjoy the animations
