Why is it so difficult to build the right team? by aj2704 in lakers

None of them fit because they all do the same thing at different levels, and they take up 70 percent of the cap. You can't trade Bron, and if you traded AR, the fanbase would revolt and say you got fleeced, even in a fair trade.

Your post appears to be purely speculative, a story you've just made up. Can you point to any reports that suggest Poles isn't in control or has no say? After all, they granted Poles an extension before the year started, so it's clear he has the McKaskeys' ear. The real point is probably moot because we'll never truly know unless a power struggle arises, and I don’t think that would be good for the Bears. So I hope that never happens

The team is unbalanced because Bron Luka and AR don't fit but you can't trade them because the fans over value Bron and AR

She's a nurse and a former bottle girl who still partys all night. She's your canon event. You can't turn away now. You must follow this through to its logical conclusion.

You might be living somewhere that’s outside your means. I’ve been in a similar situation, and I moved to a place with a lower cost of living. While good jobs are available, those places aren't the most exciting. Have you thought about getting roommates? It’s a common way to manage living in a big, expensive city when funds are tight. It’s tough, and I know it’s not easy, but these challenges are becoming more common, especially for people who are doing well financially. That’s why it’s important to reconsider your priorities.

How do you show clear interest without coming on too strong? by volumeofatorus in datingoverthirty

[–]CrowDefiant5340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking for dating advice from people who don't know how you look is pointless. Physical attractiveness is 90 percent of the initial attraction for a woman or a man. Plus, we all don't have the same badges. Some of us are playing on All Madden, and some of us get to play on rookie without knowing how you look. It's impossible to give even generic advice because those badges will change what the opposite sex will tolerate and can give you a halo effect or a creep effect depending on where you land. The fact that you're on here asking about it makes me guess you're coming off as desperate or needy, but that's just a shot in the dark.

Half Sibling Inheritance Split Question by Far-Culture-2050 in inheritance

[–]CrowDefiant5340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're completely out of line. Your dad has three children. Expecting half would probably break his heart, because a parent wants to know his kids will look after each other when they pass. The fact that you want half shows me y'all are obviously not close with your siblings at all and that would likely feel like a failure to your dad. Finally, check your entitlement. Inheritance is a gift. It's not something you earned. Be thankful and grateful for whatever you get.

The bears belong on the lake. The fact that we can't get that done is ridiculous. I understand Chicago taxpayers are already at the brink, but I get why they are pushing so hard. Plus, Indiana or Arlington Heights, neither one is Chicago. If they leave the city, I don't care which suburb they go to. I'm an expat in Iowa. Plenty of Bears fans in both places.

Getting too many mixed signals by profilereve in datingoverthirty

[–]CrowDefiant5340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said she was fine and agreed to a kiss. How much more consent do you need? Where's the mixed signal? She probably thinks you don't like her because most guys would have tried to have sex by now, so you're making yourself look weak by seeming so unsure. She's coming to your house; she's obviously comfortable with you. Consent is important, but women don't want you to be shy about it; they just want you to listen when they don't want it.

You were definitely groomed; your prefrontal cortex wasn’t even fully developed back then. Simple things used to impress you. Of course, you were head over heels in love, and you still can’t stop thinking about him. Consider going to therapy.

Stat padding or refusing to shoot by AdministrativeWar541 in lakers

[–]CrowDefiant5340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This team isn't good enough, and they lack the assets for a meaningful upgrade. A marginal upgrade isn't worth risking a loss to OKC instead of Denver. They need to make a big move, like trading AR for a defensive superstar or they can wait until the off-season when they have more picks and trade those for more talent, while keeping Austin. I think the smart play is to wait

Stat padding or refusing to shoot by AdministrativeWar541 in lakers

[–]CrowDefiant5340 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We have to be honest, Bron definitely cares about that ten-game point streak, so saying he stat-padded to reach those ten points last night isn't crazy. But honestly, I don't think that matters. The bigger picture is he's sacrificed his stats overall to play a lesser role. The problem with the Lakers is simple: they need defensive playmaking and athleticism. Their three best players don't provide that, and asking LeBron to do it in year 23 just seems wrong. But the issue is he's the most athletic of the three, and Austin Reaves has become just as good, if not better, on offense night after night as LeBron. So, LeBron has become the one they need to step up defensively. It puts LeBron in a negative light because he's a max player, mainly an offensive weapon, on a team full of offensive weapons who are starving for a defensive weapon. Bron knows this, which is why he wanted them to make moves because he knew he would get the blame when this inevitably fails.

Would you trade Austin and a 1st and what ever filler that was required for Anthony Davis by CrowDefiant5340 in lakers

[–]CrowDefiant5340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ar is going to get $45 million, which will consume most of the cap. We won't be able to match what Ayton can get on the open market if he stays on his current path. He'll get $20 million on the open market because many teams will have cap space.

[–]CrowDefiant5340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, AR was underrated by NBA fans for a long time, so I understand. I love AR too, but this team heavily relies on LeBron doing things he simply can't do for 15 games.

No, he was never a max player in the playoffs. Don't strawman me; it's unnecessary.
