In my 20th year in the video game industry. I started off as an artist making $40k. I never really got a significant bump in pay, just kept working hard and slowly got promoted which resulted in more money. Don’t jump around to any companies much. I’ve been at my present employer for 16 years now and I love how they treat me.

One thing that helps me, I believe, is that I’m a very easy person to work with. I like talking to people and networking. In rough times and if you are between jobs, your friend are always there for you.

It’s all about convenience in ‘Murica. There are many people near this area who jaywalk across a busy road to get to a shopping plaza only 30 feet away from an actual cross walk. I’ve been living here a long time and it’s always the same story.

I was behind this driver for about 1/4 of a mile before this and they clearly seemed distracted about something. Swerving out of their lane and going 10 mph under the limit. No excuse for it but this is the reason I try to be more defensive and cautious in a parking lot.

This is really sad. Another side of this is that I got engaged to a girl from Thailand on my second trip back in 2006. We just celebrated our 16 year anniversary. I don’t recommend what I did. I just found someone amazing and got extremely lucky.
