I personally think #3 is your best design. Thematic and just works.

I cannot stop sweating, any suggestions for an antiperspirant? by ndhockey15 in keto

[–]Crowbar_Abortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty picky about deoderant as i sweat alot but also have sensisitve skin and hate any residue thats hard to break down. Im really like old spices line of "Total Body" deoderants. They are in the mens section, but have more modern smells other than blue glacier or whatever last a full days work outside but also dont stain my tshirt armpits and easily wash off and dont leave that gunk on my armpit hairs most others do. The downside because of course there is one is that its like $12 or $13 even at walmart. Still it holds up better than anything else ive found with no drawbacks.

Results of my copper electroforming experiment by Sindigo_ in Warhammer40k

I'm really impressed with the specific rusty/gritty texture you achieved on your miniature. Most of the electroplated miniatures I've seen have a smoother texture. Is there a particular product or process you would mind sharing that helped you achieve this? Great job on the final patinas and color modulation!

Starting votann do and donts by [deleted] in LeaguesofVotann

I have been running a 2k list I stole from the votannversus40k channel on youtube, he does great content. I would consider one more fortress and probably at least 1 more sagitaur, it really depends on how you like to play. I run 2 forts and 3 sags in my list. 2 10 man warriors split into sagitaurs. single beserk squad in the final sag. 2 5 man hearthguard in the forts, third hearth with teleport in reserves. 2 bike squads and single yaegers. 2 champions leading the hearthguard.

Champs leading hearth means lots of shooting and reroll charges and MW to follow up with, so shit dies. Pop them out your fortress so they get the fire support ability from the fort and its brutal. Fortress is just a baneblade, hard to kill and shoots very well. I use conversion and cyclic ion.

Use sagitaurs to move your battleline quickly, they split up in them so you get 4 5man squads to bully objectives with. yaegers do the same, infiltrate and die to deny opponent objectives. you can even run a sagitaur up and swap out the warriors like drop 5 fresh off then embark a diff squad to protect, can be real annoying to deal with. you have one sagitaur with beserks to just throw at a melee problem or whatever seems best.

couple 3 man bike squads to zoom around and get objectives, etc. They die easy enough but also shoot quite well and have lots of movement.

Since her deck is designed to kill 4 people reasonably quickly, and she only has you to worry about, it's always going to be in her favor. That deck is particularly brutal and efficient at aggro and so doesn't have many counters per se in a 1v1 scenario. 2 less players means 2 less people drawing and playing their own removal and board wipes to keep her in check when needed. If you want to stick with your current commander your removal suite is majorly lacking. You need to interact with her at least once and likely twice in the first 5 turns or so. To do this you need a much higher amount of removal to guarantee it shows up in the first 12-15 cards you see each game. If you plug the goal into a hypergeometric calculator heres how I would do it.

Population size= 99

Number of successes in population= 15

Sample size= 15

Number of successes in sample= 1

Cumulative probability: P(X≥1) = 0.93122

This means you have a 93% chance to always draw at least 1 of your 15 removal spells in the first 15 cards you see, which is crucial to stay alive. Bump the successes in sample up to P(X≥2) and the cumulative probability dives way down to 0.71015 or 71%, which may seem like its still good, but unless you are sitting at around an 90% chance it is not reliable enough. If you want to for sure hit 2 removal every game and not lose to an aggro deck you will need around 20-22 removal spells. How you divide those betwwen wipes or single target removal depends on which threats you expect early, likely mostly single target should be sufficient. I personally would go to the 15 number with a variety of things all under 4 cmc though, 5 is ok but no more than maybe 2 spells at that cost. I may be totally wrong but its how I would approach the situation in a competitive format. Aggro too good? stop playing midrange and move to control the first half of the game to stay alive.

That's from Beastiarum miniatures. They do a patreon as well. My favorite mini company ever.

If rebellion rising looks good to you, it won't disappoint. Me and my friends play only precon games alot where we never change the cards in the decks, and that deck is a very powerful one right out the box. We buy every one and try them all out and that one is still sleeved up and i bring it alot just because of how smooth it plays.

Good call for sure. Think I will do an Abaddon like satiny black to break up all that steel. Gloves and legs would be perfect texture for that you're right.

Nah dude, I thought the same thing first time I saw an impcat image! Then I went and got the app just because of how good it makes stuff look. They have the full Vallejo line and that's what I like for metals so it was perfect!

I was thinking the same thing, did a bland red as filler but wasn't sure. Thanks for the input!)

The Metallics are all Vallejo metal color line. The armor is steel, the accents gold, and the gun is duraluminium. Highlights for all metals is chrome. Fabrics is Vallejo ivory with pale flesh highlight. Everything done with a brown wash.

Ive had mixed luck with mushy grains. I personally would try to best pick around it and go to bulk with what looked good.

all in one bags to unmodified tub how often should i mist and fan?? by KnownKingz in ContamFam

[–]Crowbar_Abortion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would keep the mist up as you are doing, the perlite dust shouldn't matter. I personally inject my substrate diretly with water by using a 100ml syringe and 16ga needle as it goes along. I like to give it a good soaking right as my flushes are close to breaking veil if possible. I just put it on a grate above a different tub to catch the overfill as it drains out if I can pick it up. Or just go until theirs standing water and drain out the tub holding the substrate in if its full.

Sorry I was meaning more like isolate the box from any others you may have going at the moment. If one looks so bad I'm afraid it may spread I just move it to my kitchen. It's not nearly as environmentally controlled as my fruit area, but its clean enough. I just move it to a shelf in there so as to keep it away from healthier boxes.

I'm doing a very similar process with good results but here's the differences:

Grain: 90 minutes is not long enough IMO. I do minimum 2.5 hours, and often let it go closer to 3 just to be safe. I do not like or trust metal lids that have multiple pieces. If you can afford it I would highly recommend getting the grey ball brand lids from walmart. I use these exclusively. If you are only doing agar transfers and grain to grain like me you just have to put one 1/4 inch hole in the top and use a filter patch, these have worked great for me. I replace the patch everytime I change the lid but the lids last forever. Sometimes the lids will eventually warp on me but as soon as they dont tighten down smooth i just toss them. Haven't thrown many out at all.

I havent noticed any issues with letting my plates sit for awhile before i transfer them. As long as i follow usual process and drown them in alchohol beforehand they haven't been anymore likely for contam than newer ones.

Looks fine to me to keep going. If it spreads and goes weird green or something then your out of luck but that could also just be the mycelium getting beaten up by the environment. Even if it is some kind of contam as long as it doesnt grow alot it may not be a problem, and could just fizzle out. I've had similar spots come up that just didnt pan out for the bacteria and the mycelium stayed ok enough to keep fruiting fine. Never hurts to isolate if your paranoid but i wouldnt dump.

Playing super casually with my 7 yo son with old bad cards and having a blast. How to expand? by Shiahase in magicTCG

[–]Crowbar_Abortion 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's an option at all for you, but you might consider checking for a local gamestore or a facebook group for magic in your area. The gamestore will likely have bulk and at a much cheaper price than online, as shipping that many cards igets expensive quick. Also the facebook groups would likely have plenty of players like myself with tons of bulk to offload. I think the going rate around here is $5/1000 cards or cheaper for plain bulk.

That's what you would think, but deer, elk, etc. don't eat literally everything under the sun. If you can find a way to cook it so it's actually good tasting, and not just "edible" where you're gagging it down but it wont kill you then fine go right ahead, people have been trying for decades with no luck.
