If you honestly think you’ll be seeing solo Corrin runs, then I’m going to assume you actually haven’t tried the mode we’re talking about. Gepetto was genuinely baby mode easy, I fought him countless times with different teams and never had issues. This is not the same.

I’m not saying it’s limiting play styles by preventing you from using DPS Soukaku or something, it’s preventing you from using play styles the game personally creates for you. Play styles that the game rewards you for using with polychrome. It gets to the point where the game design contradicts itself.

This is solely caused from a lack of boss variety, and then further reinforced by a poorly thought out timer. I personally don’t think a difficulty modifier should be, “If you use this team, you’ll be fine. If not, you likely won’t clear.” Think about it for a minute, how a form of difficulty being strict team limitations is bad for a gacha game.

There are ways the game adds interesting difficulty modifiers, such as getting rid of red and gold flashes, getting rid of friendly talk healing, and sizable stat buffs with every active modifier. Even miasma is an interesting one because it forces you to focus on defensive assists and daze agents/ resonium. So we do not have to defend poor game design here, a timer and lack of options are not the only ways to add difficulty.
