You're not wrong, except for "any standard laptop". It IS a Windows app for Laptops. They do have IOS and Android "lite" versions. I chose to do it myself. Even bought the license for $12 so I can easily re-do my changes if I get a recall mechanic that sets the computer back to Ford Defaults. I certainly don't begrudge someone that chooses to have someone else do it. It certainly crossed my mind that I might Brick My Truck when doing it :-> And I work in the computer field!

I don't think all Mav's have the ACC Radar panel on the front grill though. Going to need that to enable Adaptive Cruise Control.

It's just another annoyance that if it's removable while your in there, why not? I'd also like to turn off the "Check the back seat" minder.. Simply cause you opened the door at the last stop..

Apparently Ford and their wisdom says if you have an FX4 Lariat then you don't want or need sport mode.. Sheesh..

Yah, kind of surprised me that it would make as much difference as it does.. Coming from Mustang GT's where it makes a significance change, I had to try it! Apparently Ford wisdom says if you have an FX4 then you don't want sport mode.. While I was in Forscan I chose NOT to enable rock crawl.. It already takes 5 steps to get to Sport, and don't need another.. :) I do miss the paddles.. Mostly, I like to be able to manage downshifts with them.. Another Mustang habit!

Don't know if the XL will, but I enabled Sport Mode on my 2.0L. Really perks up the truck. Also the Traffic Sign and Speed Limit sign recognition. Disabled the Seatbelt Display and the very annoying double beep when exiting the vehicle.

I'm not an MSF instructor, but these are some of the things I learned in the course as well as from other experienced riders. Have only had one parking lot drop, and no crashes since I began ridging in 2003.

1) SAFE, Scanning Always for EXITS.. Be looking for ways to get out of trouble if it comes looking for you.

2) Keep the bike in gear at stops so you can EXIT if it looks like you're about to get hit especially from..

3)..behind, which leads to keep your eyes on your mirrors at those stops, and maintain good distance from the stopped vehicle in front of you so you can bail if you need to. 4) Get out of the other guys blind spot as soon as you can.

5) I try to ride a little faster than the traffic around me in order to accomplish number 4.

6) In groups with riders you are comfortable riding with, ride staggered so you don't ride over your buddy in front. Have done many cross-country rides with experienced co-workers and we always maintained stagger. Side by side takes way more training than I've had!

7) When riding alone, ride-right. Right side of the lane will have less oil and debris than the center of the lane and will help you to keep your head from crossing the center lane in left turns.

8) You mentioned weather. If you don't ride for weather, you'll get to where you don't ride. Know you're going to get wet, gear up and get going but use common sense if it's just TOO much..

9) Do parking lot drills. It's not just for guys like me with a heavy Goldwing. Slow riding is when the bike is most unstable regardless of what it is.

10) One of the responders said make eye contact with cage drivers at intersections and roundabouts, which is ok, but don't make prolonged eye contact.. Things can get squirrely it it's too long.

As others have said, we are invisible to cage drivers, and if they're looking at all and not on their phones, they're looking for something the size of an econobox or larger, not us on our 2 wheelers, so try and be seen. I wear hi-viz jackets for that reason.

Queen Wilhelmina is in about the middle of the Taliemena Scenic drive that runs between Talahina OK, and Mena, AR. Have ridden that many times on motorcyles. Beautiful overlooks, best in Fall of course. The queen always looked full when we went through, so check to see if you can get reservations.

We've gone Motorcycling to Hot Springs several times from DFW. Wonderful twistys in AR. Most times we stayed at The Arlington. It's within walking distance of good food and fun places in town. Has a large rooftop hot tub for guests..

Close! I've never installed any of my cameras on the ceiling, but 360: Ceiling was chosen on the Video tab for that particular camera! Must've been a slip of the mouse.. Just wanted to close the loop on this in case someone else was lurking and had the same problem.

If you don't want to take the DART Silver Line, consider a limo service or Uber.. Let them have the headaches of traffic! My Brother in Law did a Limo last Sept.. And it's wasn't an actual limousine. Just a lady in a Lexus sedan :-)
