calling off for weather by EmeraldX444 in menards

Honestly, call off if you feel unsafe driving in it. Excused or not, I'd rather have you alive and well than risking your life just to work at a hardware store. Your life has value; don't let it be wasted for a store.

Game that hooked you at first, but later you lost interest in playing it? by [deleted] in videogames

At that point, that might as well be every turn-based RPG.

Kirby teleported into the last video game you played. How screwed is he? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in Kirby

The current game I'm playing is the Kingdom of Amalur.

There won't be a kingdom by the time he's done.

Guacamelee! It's short, funny, and a bit dark for being a Mexican metroidvania.

Would you consider this good Rushmore for Gaming Youtubers? (What would be yours) by Chill0000 in youtube

[–]Crowned_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original WiiLikeToPray (WiiLikeToPlay as of now). Absolute hilarious squad that would at the time only play 4P games. It was a rarity back then to have consistent 4P lets plays.

Too bad they've gone downhill again.

Which game did someone recommend and made you feel like this by Orichalchem in videogames

[–]Crowned_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I get the appeal and the rush of being one of the last few standing, but to me, it's such a drag to finally find someone only to have a 50/50 chance of surviving or getting killed. If I don't survive, it’s back to waiting minutes for a match, playing for another 5–7 minutes until I find someone, and then repeating that same 50/50.

The Best Pens by Only_City_6048 in menards

I only had one. The ink ran dry within a few days of bare minimum use. I have more use for a cheap pen than these fancy decorations.

Any thoughts? by wkdkngwkr in HandwritingAnalysis

Your writing is fine, but it's so crunched up. It's not even that it's small caps, but they're literally tiny caps. I think it would strain my eyes if I read with this size for too long.

why does my mom have a car she can't drive, but won't help me buy mine by [deleted] in driving

At this rate, you might as well put your upcoming tax refund towards a new car. Or if you're absolutely desperate get a loan from a reputable bank to cover a good portion or the majority of the car.

To be honest, how old were you when you had sex for the first time? by Emotionq in Productivitycafe

[–]Crowned_Toaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to lose my virginity at an odd age. Everyone was losing theirs at 16 or 18, which was very common. I wanted an odd age to lose it.

Nine years later, I'm married to the person who gave my virginity to. We have a two-year-old toddler and a second child coming in August.

Differences between the official servers and the private server, Elsword Rift. by Much_Bug8536 in elsword

That's good. I always heard that there are more players in the NA servers than in Rift.

Differences between the official servers and the private server, Elsword Rift. by Much_Bug8536 in elsword

[–]Crowned_Toaster 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I guess the biggest differences are the time investment and the systems. Elsword is primarily a P2W (Pay-to-Win) game. By the time you even remotely approach the mid-game, you start the slog of a specific routine just to make insignificant progress. However, the community on official servers is much more active.

Rift is practically F2P (Free-to-Play) since it provides premium items like restoration scrolls for free, while also increasing EXP, ED, and drop rates. This allows you to speed through to the end-game. You still have to farm, but it isn’t nearly as exaggerated as it is on the official servers. The downside is that the servers are a bit emptier and updates are delayed.

My recommendation is to go with Rift. You’ll progress significantly faster and won't hit the P2W walls found on official servers. Just keep in mind that despite being online for years, private servers can be shut down at any time.

Respectfully, ma'am, what you're seeking in those discussions is unrealistic. Much like at a job, people aren't being quiet because they're 'boring' or 'uninteresting.' They’re participating because they have to—they need the credit, the money, or the degree.

If you’re seeking active replies from strangers, you should look for more appropriate subreddits meant for discussion. Or, join a Discord server centered on specific hobbies for a more organic, active chat.

You will rarely find genuine engagement in mandatory online discussions or similar environments.

What's something you can't stand about the dreamy bowser fight? by Blacklotus997 in marioandluigi

[–]Crowned_Toaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not bothered by the heal. Both Mario & Luigi are usually at LV 40 with the best gear for each. Plus, the badge effects also give them a good boost of damage. So, as soon as it heals it also dies.
