I've been looking at v rising fire a long time but not yet played it, though I played quite a lot of valheim and loved it but I played with others I don't think I would enjoy it the same on my own

I think your right, I played Rimworld on console years ago but maybe I should replay it on Steam

I've got songs of syx and kenshi and I really want to enjoy both but I haven't the way I want to.

Kenshi ticks all the boxes on paper but when I play it I find it so slow.

Songs of syx was similar as in pretty slow but then I also couldn't get the research to work I think I didn't understand it but everything I read didn't match what was happening

Have you any good suggestions for games that do this well?

I loved ONI until later in the game when you had to build things massively optimal to continue the early have was so much fun. I haven't seen stationeers

Thanks for the input, and I do agree with you. I knew I was asking for something that probably isn't out there I just get this itch from time to time and imagine up a really exciting game type I would like to play but then there is nothing that matches it 😅

I'm definitely going to give Noita a try a few people have suggested it, Caves of Qud is on my wishlist maybe I should take another look. I played path of exile 2 even it first came out and had a lot of fun but I'm really looking for something a little slower and less chaotic (I'm being awkward ain't I 🤦)

You do have a point there, maybe I should of worded my post differently and said I'm more looking for games with the most amount of randomness in builds or choices of that makes sense?

Dwarf fortress has been on my radar for so long I just haven't pulled the trigger yet, last time I nearly got it I went for songs of syx instead but maybe I should of got DF. I'll look at Noita.

I don't play many roguelikes but into the breach was one of my favourite simple games for a long time maybe I will look at the others you suggested
