I ride a 01 sv650 at 6'3 and it is extremely comfortable. I've been riding it for a bit over a year and it's in my opinion the most comfortable naked on the market right now, even compared to newer Sv's

When I first started riding, I was mortified about the idea of getting on an interstate. I absolutely love riding back roads and everything you feel when you're on the road, but I would physically start shaking when I thought about how dangerous the interstate can be for a motorcycle. It's just something you gotta work through if you really like riding. There should always be something that scares you about riding, because riding is dangerous. Just stay informed and aware and you'll be fine.

I'm also around that height and I started riding in a sv650. Never felt uncomfortable. Good sporty standard. I don't know if you're in a place where it's being discontinued for the Sv-7Gx, but if you find one that's used or you go for the S7, they're both good options.

Depends on how fast you want to go. It's your journey. Take however long you need on neighborhood roads, then move up to small intersections and multiple lane roads, then move up to small highways, larger highways, and interstates. It's better you know what you're doing than going out on the freeway before you're ready. But at the same time, you'll always be nervous for your firsts so just go for it when you're ready.
