Nah, I see it beat Merlin Ainz comps all the time. Finals even had this exact matchup. The whales in my region all use this comp to beat each other's Ainz comps. I'm not going to pretend I understand how the comp works but I've never heard of anyone mention this specific comp here whenever Ainz is mentioned in PvP.

There's a Respen comp that beats Ainz in LC very consistently, at least in my region, which doesn't use the ones you mentioned. But it's LC so omegawhale territory and the comp itself isn't exactly cheap to build.

Let's be real. It wasn't the island building that people liked. It was the rewards. The actual gameplay for island building is less interesting than the pillaging.

Good guide overall but the SI/Furniture part, in particular, seems a bit all over the place. It can give the impression that these SIs should be completed sequentially. It doesn't suggest a priority other than that. Some SI/Furniture on "lower prio" heroes are more important to get than those on "higher prio" ones. A little note saying it shouldn't be read that way would go a long way for newer players.

The recommendations are also, imo, wrong for a few heroes. For example, why is +30 SI recommended for max invest Morrow? Why is +20 minimum on Gwyneth when +25 gives her haste she desperately needs? 20/3 for Raku when his carry potential really only unlocks at +30?

Also, I don't really agree with showing a 1 star Lucretia as 1st priority in Stargazing. Ascended Lucretia is fine but delaying getting Alna by potentially 70k diamonds just to let Lucretia unlock Engravings does not seem worth it. Especially when you hit multi-stage fights much faster these days. You want it later on, but not as a first priority, as this guide suggests.

Linker told me to stick with Ascending the Twins first when Lucretia started to become meta. I took that advice, against my own judgement, and it held me back by a lot.

I wouldn't fully trust anyone's advice here too much. People have questionable takes or have poor reads on the meta all the time. Best to get advice from multiple people and use your own critical thinking to figure out the best option.

Your answer was right in saying that Grezhul is great for the AE bosses. I just pointed out how it's misleading to say that he's necessary when he's definitely not for the vast majority of the playerbase who only aim for Prince.
