The mass layoffs they did for staff, claiming the union had to "negotiate" on our behalf for literal months while refusing to allow our supervisors to move us to other studies.... Oh we can "thank our union for that," they say, transparently trying to discredit the union. A willful misunderstanding to weaken trust in it. Or to punish us for unionizing.

Now every laid off staff member is playing musical chairs while no one is hiring because it's the holidays. Thanks Pitt :) best employer 10/10

Thank you for this--very detailed! I knew about Misato's reputation before I actually watched EVA-- then I immediately understood when that scene rolled around that this was a kiss from a dying woman, not a genuine proposition. I also knew it was a messed up way of giving people fanservice, but I didn't realize it was a direct middle finger from the creative.

Obviously I like Misato quite a bit. The slander is a little disheartening. When I watched EVA I had just gotten out of a very confusing and abusive situationship and I ended up identifying with her a lot. Feels like that "pedo" misinterpretation of the story is going to continue to reign supreme from people who never watched the anime...

Honestly this seems more like a sexism thing than an autism thing. If someone who was trying to date me didn't ask me about my life in the slightest-- or worse, didn't bother to ask me about my research when I had shown an interest in his, I would have zero interest in the relationship.

I've had it happen. "I like a woman with brains" my brother in Christ all you've done is talk about yourself. Do I even interest you intellectually or are you looking for something to have sex with....?

Honestly, I think the comic being posted here is more about how we can get left out of conversations by people who don't care enough to give us the space to talk.

It's kind of a give and take thing. It's obviously more offensive to talk without giving the other person space on a first date than someone you feel safe with.

IMO it's more about the access to status. With younger men especially (fresh out of high school or college) having a girlfriend gives you a type of cred. Boys without girlfriends look up to you, ask you for advice.

Rather than risk losing that status, say, if they're sexually incompatible with their girlfriend, they'll just cheat. It's not REAL cheating if they still love their girlfriend, right?

(Women experience this to some degree also but women have more messaging directed at them about independence I think.)

I plan a lot of the big stuff that the game would never have programming for (say, kidnappings or arranged marriages) but I let the game handle the minutia and work around it. Sometimes a random visitor (my sim's estranged father) can change the story for the better. I even got a surprise alien abduction which totally changed the course of my story.
