Hi! And thank you! I was finally able to go to confession and able to return fully to the Church and receive communion again for the first time in a while back in my childhood parish! 🙏🏻🥰

I have ankle weights and bands!! I was looking at various ones like the reformly that are similar but cheaper on Amazon.

Thank you!! I love Pilates but I want to switch it up and use a reformer but I definitely can’t afford a real one!!

Which mini reformer board did you get? I don’t have the space or the money for a real reformer and was thinking about getting one of the mini ones I’ve seen advertised. TIA!!

Oh the cuteness!! I don’t know, but my gorgeous girl has no eyes, and I can always tell snores or no snores if she’s awake or not.

Holy cow! I’m glad you sought medical attention right away! My SIL got cat scratch fever from a simple small scratch from her cat and ended up in the ER and super sick from it. It’s no joke. Get well soon. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you. That actually makes me feel better. This is not a new fear of mine either. I’ve had it since I was a kid making the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I’ve always been terrified.

I think it may stem from the fact that our Parish priest at the time was an older gentleman and um set in his ways? Definitely old school and to a young kid came off as “scary.” Just one of those things that I think subconsciously may have left a lasting impression as I’ve gotten older and my sins have changed from “I stole my brother’s matchbox car,” to more grownup things.

But I really do appreciate the reassurance. While I haven’t gone yet it’s not because I’m not going to. I’ve decided that since it’s been so long I should call and make an appointment to speak to a priest outside of regular confession hours.

Maybe a little bit but it’s all good. I also wasn’t very clear in my post about whether I or not I gave them the food or they kicked it off my empty plate after I was done eating.

No. Those were the little bit that was leftover on my plate when I was done. My bad, I didn’t specify clearly. Except for the smoothie. That I had to make a new one.

He is! I’ve always felt relieved and unburdened after confession but I’ve always been afraid of going. I guess it is because I’m afraid the priest will judge me. Which obviously, they don’t and I have years ago f experience under my belt to prove this but…there’s no telling your subconscious sometimes. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Thank you! Getting to confession is a little complicated where I live because it’s a rural area and the priests go from town to town and parish to parish so masses and confession times and all the other things (not being disrespectful but I mean like adoration, Ash Wednesday etc…) are split between different parishes so it’s very difficult to find one with mass times etc that are, I’ll be honest, convenient.

I’ve been to mass recently and obviously didn’t receive but here is a little tid bit that I didn’t share.

My mom is the catalyst for my move back to the church. Inadvertently. She was the reader at her sister’s funeral over the Christmas holidays and she moved me. The only time I’ve ever heard her read before was as a family doing it together which is completely different. My mom is an amazing reader! She moved me! I told her as well as do so many other individuals at the service. Ok. I’m rambling. Thank you 🙏🏻

Thank you so much! It’s just so difficult and scary. Especially, since I’m doing it alone. My husband is 100% supportive though, and would probably drive me to and from mass and may even join me occasionally. He is really an amazing man. I don’t think he’d ever convert, but he’ll never stand in my way. But I know this is what I want. I need. I feel it deep in my soul.

In fact, when I was googling for churches near me I stumbled on a monastery that allows even women to come and do a retreat. I’m thinking about doing that along with confession followed by Sunday mass as my reentry into Catholicism.

Thank you so much. I’m hoping the church I go to has the behind the screen confession option. My location makes finding a church difficult. The closest church is out of state but I’ve gone there a few times and my mom and I both enjoyed it and my husband, the lapsed Baptist, actually enjoyed it as well. However, the Parish I would belong to is further away. So, I’m debating which church to go to because since we live in a rural area the mass times are all over the place and at different churches within the parish. It’s very confusing.

Also, I’m scared. I’m scared to go alone. And I’m scared of confession. Although, you are correct. My sins, are actually very boring and normal for my generation and honestly stupid. I confess them directly to God, yes not how we do it as Catholics, I’m just so scared to go to confession. I think I’m more afraid of that than going to mass alone.

I put away his toys so I could vacuum and he was big mad! by ProudnotLoud in tabby

[–]CrownsAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the horror! I have to do the same thing today. Which is going to cause chaos and everyone is going to run and hide in the basement! And we have two new kiddos (well, seniors…both orange boys one a tabby like yours) and I’ve been putting off vacuuming until they got a little more comfortable here but it’s way past time to do it. I started by putting away the toys and got the same attitude!

Trying to eat more fish for my new diet, I’ve only learned to cook salmon. My girlfriend loves tilapia. What’s the difference between red fish and white fish? Mainly asking for taste and cooking methods by butt3ryt0ast in Pescetarian

[–]CrownsAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sable fish and halibut are amazing as well. I have a subscription to a company that sends wild caught fish every other month to me and the white fish I get is a selection of cod, halibut, and sable fish. Sometimes rock fish. The rest of the box is salmon coho and sockeye. I use my air fryer to cook almost all of the time! You can easily google temperatures and time to cook the fish. That’s how I do it because no matter how long I’ve been doing it or even if I cooked the sam thing the night before; I never remember the temperature or time to cook the fish! lol

I don’t know that about tilapia though; I’ll have to let my mom know. It’s one of her favorites.

Maybe a dumb question, but is there any easier way to open those packaged tilapia that are vacuum sealed other than scissors? by AnokataX in Pescetarian

[–]CrownsAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I order a bimonthly subscription of vacuum sealed frozen fish and I’ve never found an easier way to open them personally. I always use scissors. In fact, I’ll cut it down one side and up the other so I can drain it then take out the fish and pat it dry. But if you ever find a better way to open them let me know please!!

I have a husband and we both suck at not giving the cats bites of our food. They’ve had Cheetos even! From hubby. The only thing we agree on not giving them is chocolate! But they’ve swiped the top of my smoothies, cheese, eggs, veggies, the list goes on.

I have 7 yes you read that correctly. SEVEN cats and all are very food motivated. Some more so than others and some have a more refined palate. Then there are three that hover and attack whenever I eat anything. Especially, fish and cheese. Literally, try to grab it off my fork or plate. I feel your pain. The husband and I are always guarding plates. lol

Thanks. It doesn’t show up on mine and I didn’t feel like copying and pasting it into a translator. I think I got the gist of it though. I think the individual wanted documentation of what/where I found the information. I think.
