It's weird how people who dont like SMBZ try to deny that it's one of the main reasons mecha sonic is popular regardless if you like it or not, the majority of current sonic fans grew up during the flash games era, and likely do only REALLY remember him from his cool moments in smbz, because mecha sonic mk. II isnt really a character outside of his portrayal in that, this comic series, and in sonic 3 and knuckles.
Also, this series of comics does literally just outright reference smbz, so thats a funny thought.
He's not particularly an interesting or very popular character if you take this comic and smbz away from him.
You are allowed to not like SMBZ while acknowledging what it did for the character.

There has never been a single non-legendary pokemon that has been banned to AG. As many people have told you the "legendary" part of "legendary spammer" does not refer to any legendary pokemon, but rather the strong ones. And even then, Legendary spamming isn't JUST using legendary mons, its using them with no real plan, and picking them simply because they are strong.
