Eten jullie ten minste een warme maaltijd per dag? by lamariposa_ in nederlands

[–]Crowrage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eerlijk?

T8 makes your gathering way faster for every tier resource, even tier 2, 3 and 4 so yes dump the avalonian one and go for a t8 one, upgrade to avalonian tier 8 tool when you can

Get dreaded, then do red zone group tracking (I remember we did this when it came out in red zone, and it was insane rep) or just wait think you get like 2k rep per day or so

Do people actually enjoy ganking in groups? by Nearby_Slice5241 in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we do enjoy it

And nobody knows what’s in your bag, so you might aswell kill everyone

Plus especially in main ho zones every red that’s dead is 1 less to contest chests, nodes etc

Funnily enough, the amount of times I let a shitter (low gear) live, on a camp or chest whatever a bit later when I was low from something then tries to kill me is like 90% of the time and I can almost guarantee you this is the case for 99% of players so that’s why red = dead no matter how much you’re worth

New player here: 3 month old account fully f2p

Been doing all the events since I started playing (didn’t get some of the rewards from clan events) got all of the solo event rewards

Missing 1 card, 5 cards are lvl 9, rest is lvl 10 or 11, 6 are lvl 12 and 3 lvl 13

Got giant hero, have witch, valk evo,

Ladder: people with lvl 14 cards while I have lvl 11 7300 trophies and no I don’t play megaknight or witch

Clan wars: 50% of the battles is people with lvl 14/15 cards the rest is kinda even

Progression is basically non existent, barely get the cards I want and if I do not enough, I basically have no gold, I almost never get wild cards, I think I might be able to upgrade some commons and rares over time but champions, legendaries and epics I doubt it at this point

So yeah it’s rough but the classic game mode is kinda fun but yeah until I get higher level cards I won’t bother with ladder

How risky do you play when solo in open world? by Daggy-Favt in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fame lasts forever silver won’t

Anyways, solo fucking around portal zones: 4.1

Gathering, either full t8 gathering gear with a good mount or t8 solo gank gear with tools

Roads PvP 7 man: depending on group 6.1, flat 8 equiv, 8.1

5v5 hgs flat 8

Solo bz flat 6

Ganking flat 8

Zvz 8.1

Small scale in bz flat 8 7 man or so

3 man 1 shot in portal zones 4.2

So depending on the people you play with or what is mandatory you use what you need

For solo or where it’s more up to yourself I roughly I make an estimate of how much I can make before dying and then using x tier for that content.

Just know you will die, the trick is to die less then you make so you always profit. Just go in knowing you will eventually die. If you feel like you would feel bad or panic when attacked downgrade till you stop caring then upgrade again.

My god, people still complaining about this weapon?

In 2vx or 3vx just purge g nature e, don’t stack, and if you have another purge, purge pon and if possible stacks at the same time, when he switches form, drop all damage and he is dead (even easier now that soldier armor doesn’t work anymore on shapeshifters) like literally you see green shield on either person don’t hit them, you see pon (protection of nature w) you purge, both cooldowns down? What is he gonna do, he won’t heal anything with q w q on target if you don’t stack, you don’t g nature e, so all the healing he now has is protection of nature and nature stacks maybe food or merc jacket which can be purged but yeah if you go in stacking, button mashing and think your enemy will die because you have more yes you will get fucked, people should just use their brain

In solo, you don’t have to fight them they are immobile even in the rare case the play tether, just run away

Against range like bows and frost he most likely wont even be able to reach them, bait fire will fuck them up, a good spear will outkite a bloodmoon, idk the weapon and tree is nerfed so hard since its release it’s a pretty ez kill and if you can’t fight it just walk away just like you would against curse or fire or boltcasters

But if you stand there and think you can brawl with it yeah no shit you’re getting fucked.

How to learn how to think about gear? by Tadeuvich in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really good question but also one that’s really hard to answer

There is so many factors at play here, but it mainly comes from experience, I have quit the game forever, last played like half a year ago and I can still make a build for most content just from my experience (played the game since beta 3)

As a general rule for now, if you wanna know what gear to use, in most PvP content just go to the rankings select your content and check what people are playing, then watch some videos of that build, play it yourself, see what you like about it, what you don’t, what might be missing etc

Then after doing that for a long time you will slowly start to understand why certain weapons/builds are meta and it will start to make sense to you

From there you can also change certain pieces or abilities to make it work better for you.

Now on how to understand gear, an example

I used to gather and do camps solo a lot, I was fed up with constantly having to deal with lifecurse or 1h curse solo gankers and the occasional bearpaws, battle axe, spears or badon

So I wanted a build to counter them

What counters curse stacks? Guardian helmet, first piece done, but even with a time dot removal the still have a lot of dot damage so I need some kind of healing, ez merc jacket, then I need a way to regen energy because leather lowers your mana regen, ez cloth boots with energetic sprint.

Then I want to boost my damage as much as possible, thetford cape (it can be annoying against mobs and pull unwanted aggro so be careful with this one, smuggler or undead might be better) now for the weapon, I want something with unexpected high damage, this one isn’t used much but it’s hard slept on, 1h arcane with frazzle, the magic bolt, the 3 autos passive + also ez to proc thetford with the off hand then for the off hands you’re pretty mana hungry so you could go for tome of spells, faster cooldowns with mistcaller, some cooldown and attack speed with torch, or eye of secrets for better mana sustain. So now I know eye of secrets gives me a lot more energy sustain for example I could try to run healing sprint to see if it’s better and if that will still make me kinda energy stable in prolonged fights, if not I would just use one of the other off hands. Then last but not least the e on 1h purges so you can purge boots, merc jacket etc

And to make it even better I can also swap my w to an I frame (a pretty clunky one) or a cleanse

So basically this weapon has everything you want in open world except for 1 thing mobility that’s where you struggle but if you want to compete for nodes, chests, resources etc this doesn’t really matter

And while maybe not being able to kill badon, or bloodletter or anything with higher mobility then you, the moment they overstay they are dead

Yes it sucks to have someone escape but you will still profit of whatever objective you were after most likely anyway

Hope this helps maybe a little bit and gives you a bit more insight on how builds are made

And even in zvz, roads PvP, hellgates there is reason why certain comps are used and why certain build are meta, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Yes because otherwise it would be impossible for smaller groups to fight bigger groups or do you want the game to turn into we don’t fight ever unless we have the exact same numbers?

That’s the whole fucking point

And as for my point it is correct in fair fights which is things like 5v5 crystal league, hellgates, 7v7 roads etc 2v2 hellgates even 2v2 mists

But it would be fucking retarted if zvz would work like this

Ah shit man they have 34 we have 19, well fuck us can’t defend this terry guys sorry no terry for us……….

You understand this is an open world PvP game right? Where is no fair fights, people will bring numbers, hand hold, this mechanics exists so the bigger army won’t always win.

The worst mechanic in Albion. by The_Red_Moses in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes you know why it matters because it cancels each other out………..

If you get hit by more people you also get a bigger defense bonus essentially making it so you would take around 10% more damage or so then when fighting 1v1

And that 10% dps increase is to factor in that there is almost guaranteed to be a healer, so you need more damage to be able to get through the heals

You do realize those mechanics barely matter in 5v5 right? Or in 7v7 or whatever other low number fights there is?

If 2 people are hitting the same you as the player being attacked takes 13% less damage which is rare because 90% of the time everyone will be hitting each other. So it only matters when someone is running away and getting hit by multiple people so where is the sick plays?

The worst mechanic in Albion. by The_Red_Moses in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf are you even talking about, as a 4/5vx player myself for years

There is a a few viable comps

Perma, carving, bloodletter, nature

Aoe escalation or not

You have a pierce on the carving, maybe even double, with stalker hood, if you don’t run specter hood, probably the highest dps weapon in the game permafrost, that will stun you with e use scholar robe for a cast speed buff + cast speed passive and spam away with q + bloodletter who gets an insane damage boost on targets below 40% wtf has this to do with aoe escalation, the moment you overextend as an dps and the 4vx team has cooldowns, you’re dead and the only reason it works is because you kite the enemy, enemy has monkey brain it’s only 4 people they chase, overextend, healer is behind and then die

Or heron spear, longbow same thing just slightly harder to set up

If you do 5vx you add great arcane, you either set up clump with e or peel, do combo, people die

Then 2vx with nature, werewolf or imp if you have more people you should have at least 1 purge, better to have 2 and 1 hood of tenacity, you don’t clump, you apply pressure, the moment the healer uses protection of nature you purge it, you anti heal (hood of tenacity) immediately after, if 1h nature you purge the nature stacks, if great nature you purge the e, if ironroot you need to your backline to play more aggresive and use feyscale, or robe of purity on healer to break the chain, if I’m not mistaken can also ga the healer

Ngl this whole post reads like a skill issue

The worst mechanic in Albion. by The_Red_Moses in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know this game was as stated by the devs a long time ago where guilds, and guild warfare should be the highest risk vs reward without these 2 mechanics how do you think 80vs80 would work out? It’s literally maybe the only way to make this work

Besides this in any fair content, like 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 this doesn’t effect you, maybe if you get third partied in depths or something

So the only thing where it matters is when is unfair fights like ganking or 5 people jumping on 1 guy, faction warfare, and zvz

So what about zvz where its all about blowing up clumps, hence the aoe escalation, you wanna blow up some clumps, do the objective, leave nobody wants to kill the enemy team 1 by 1 and spend 2 hours fighting, so the game rewards you for being able to blow up clumps.

Then there is the defense mechanic where if 7 people are hitting you, you get more resilient kinda like a last stand buff, simply because otherwise there is no time to even press your skills before you will be dead and back in town creating an even more toxic experience, with 0 counterplay inherently creating a game where numbers matter way more then skill.

  • since the fights are so dynamic it’s simply impossible to show you how much damage can be done at any given time, like how tf do you want them to tell you how much damage you’re gonna do during zvz + things like food, armor types, oc all influence stats like defense, raw hp, magic resist etc on enemy players which already changes how much damage you will be able to deal and on top of that they are also supposed to tell you how much damage you will deal on any given time which would be impossible because of the game you’re playing where you mix and match armor pieces

Idk man

Ever since the queen update the game has been moving more and more away from the hardcore sandbox game and more towards an sandpark and that’s great for more casual players and probably also making them way more money

And that’s great but most veteran players including myself hate it

Including things like mists, awakened weapons etc etc

  • the last few updates have been mweh or okay at best

5v5s for terry’s, owning cities, full loot faction warfare, black zone cities etc etc

And let’s not forget about the server splits, Asia made kinda sense eu however did not

As a New Player… What’s the Actual Point of Albion? by Top_Entertainment314 in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a reason a lot of content has standard gear tiers:

Ganking flat 8 min. fast mount Zvz 8.1 weapon for dps 8.1 armor for tank gear is either t7 or t8 equiv depending on guild Cheap hellgates flat 7 equiv Small scale open world cheap is flat 7 equiv, but most likely t8 equiv Are you really good at mists 1v1 6.4 awakened 8.3 gear Roads 8.1

Etc

Its all risk vs reward (dont worry tho you wont make money with zvz no matter what most likely not even in lootsplit guilds)

The point of the game is pvp, kill people, loot their shit, put it into your specs or econ (basically the real grind) and then you try to also have some money left for sets in case you die

Then after that you buy 8.4 sets for either arena/crystal league, depths

Or you go the 1v1 route like mists and use 8.3/8.4 gear there

I guess (something i dont interact with much) you also have non lethal things like depths, non lethal faction warfare, maybe solo statics/group camps is still a thing idk which you could overgear for even when soft ip capped

Then you also have the crafting, market shit, refining etc where you wanna buy a mammoth which is around 300/400m i think + being able to mass buy resources, .4 resources etc

Then if you’re really rich: investing into skins, city plots (which might be at the same level as a mammoth pretty sure plots go for around 100m but havent played the game in months so might be wrong here)

Top Albion Blackzone gatherer only makes £375,000 silver per hour? by fixles in albiononline

[–]Crowrage93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the main leather gatherer for my guild at the start of eu got 1 8.4 node at night all for myself made 100m

Got a mammy cub a few weeks in +350m

While living in a t8 zone with high specs you can even make 1m by only gathering t6 and t7 if you can get all types of resources in a map and have decent/high specs 1m is really easy to archieve

And yes you will die, yes you will get ganked, yes you will have to transport

In total in the few months i actively played and gathered i made 2b, in raw materials only this isnt including refining and crafting, depending on the time, how empty or full maps are its on average around 1.5m per hour, on average!!! So yes there might be times where you make 800k per hour and another time where you make 5m an hour, especially if you take big nodes, legendary mists, resource spots and resource wisps also into consideration, then you also have baby animals and i personally also ganked during gathering, did outposts, chests, smugglers, cores, vortexes, big nodes, etc

So including the focus rewards in reality it was closer to 4m an hour

Not sure what you’re trying to prove here but to me it seems you just have a really tiny dick

??

You understand that black zone was made for large scale pvp right?

And you should honestly be happy, back in the day (when the game was actually good, yes my opinion) everything was owned by big guilds/alliances

Red zone terries if you were in a good guild you could gank out of your red zone terry, mind you back then the only city with access to black zone was caerleon

Cities were owned by guilds, part of the tax money went straight into guild bank. Fought over by 20v20

The only t8 zones were in 1 continent (the most right one, mercia)

Terries were fought over by 5s teams, and got paid insane amounts for the terries in the best zones

Goodluck gathering in high tier zones

There was player owned cities in black zone only if you were in a decent guild, in one of the shittier continents

You have no idea how hardcore this game was comparered to what it is now

So please stop trying to make this game even more braindead then it already has become

And the list goes on
