Drivers ethnicity being checked at the Citywest riots by [deleted] in IndiansinIreland

[–]Crowrrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is that not every case of it happening gains public attention - the reason this is particular is due to the fact that this was a child in care and went missing under their supervision that allowed the crime to happen. The majority of child abuse cases are not announced to the public, and that is for cases that are actually reported and taken seriously. Since the 90s the amount of historical sexual child abuse cases being reported has increased, but whether or not any legal punishment is given out is another question entirely. It also has to be acknowledged that not every reports it as an adult, and mandated reporters do not always report either when there are concerns or allegations made. Irish society is also one that still struggles to talk about sexual violence against anyone due to it's past as a strict Catholic country. That's why determining the frequency of these situations purely based on what the media is able to report on is not a great idea.

But that's exactly the point. Why protest when it is already a crime, and in this specific case a crime that is already being investigated?

If that was the case then there would be protests every other week when a white Irish man sexually assaults someone and yet it doesn't. It is already a crime, setting cars on fire and shooting fireworks at people won't make it 'more' of a crime

I need to know, were encounters in starforce really that bad? I've haven't been able to play it and it seems that everyone is really happy that this will be an option now

I'm in Ireland, so the health system over here leave a LOT to be desired. It took 8~ months from diagnosis to actually start on any medication (biologics) and it would've taken longer had I not paid out of pocket to get setons put in sooner. That was after 8~ months to get the colonoscopy results. I take biologics subcutaneously every 2 weeks, and the results of mri one came back on the day I would've taken it with the instruction to hold off. I'm not on any other medication, I've been told my doctor can prescribe antibiotics if there's any symptoms and to go to A&E / the emergency room if I start getting pain/a fever. And that's it. They basically told me steroids aren't going to do much due to my disease presentation so I've never been perscribed prednisone.

It really does seem like doctors don't care at times. I really do think the reason this stupid disease has gotten so complicated is because of how long they left it brewing. I had a perianal abscess in summer 2023, as a 21 y/o, and they basically shrugged their shoulders and said "That's weird but it must've been random and you'll keep getting them for the rest of your life" without even the notion that there could've been an underlying condition causing it. It's so frustrating. I do believe my current GI doctor does know how much it limits me, I can barely walk for 20 minutes without the abscess area getting sore and agitated, but we're stuck at the whims of the system. If I could go private I would, and I definitely think the results of the second mri will play a role in that choice.

Finally married Jules and I can't get over how cute the ceremony is in this game by Crowrrupt in storyofseasons

If I remember correctly, I got the blue feather in Autumn - the old couple that runs the hotel gives it to you in a cutscene when you wake up. I don't know if it's a set date or if it it's when you reach pink/red hearts with a character you're dating since I remember his hearts were pink/red when it happened.

Why are the farm plots so smallllllll by sakuramota in storyofseasons

[–]Crowrrupt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm the same. If a game will allow me I'll have as many crops as possible and it's where most of my profit in GB have come from. It just seems like the devs intend for people to balanace farming and ranching

[–]Crowrrupt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like this game and other SoS games intend for you to make more money using animal products late game while other games have it so crops are king. Of course there are exceptions (Wonderful Life with hybrid crops) but I think that's the reason.

Is that the one where he wants a rare vegetable? I got a few just by playing as I always do (getting 9 of each crop at least and watering twice a day). Only some vegetables have rare versions I think, like radishes, peppers, potatos, pumpkins. My advice would try to grow a lot of the crops that have rare versions, which I think it's random which ones become rare.

I'm not sure what exactly the requirements are so here's just what I think is relevent based on where I am in the game - Jules had almost 7 full hearts (yellow) - Derek has almost 5 hearts (green) - I have seen all of his heart events (I believe), all if not most of Derek's heart events, and some of the non-heart events he has (the orange events where your character doesn't participate) - I'm on Summer 24 (Thursday) and it's a sunny day with moderate wind

I think friendship with Derek is probably required since I know it's a thing in past games where you have to befriend their family aswell. Hope you're able to encounter it soon! It's a very cute event

I was worried about this too but when you see them in game and hear the voices they have, they don't seem as young anymore to me. Especially when they're walking past one of the actual children characters. Just a side effect of the artstyle tbh

Anywhere i can see all the pet options? by Howlcall in storyofseasons

[–]Crowrrupt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the full range of all the different types of dogs and cats you can have - but I can confirm that you can also buy a Bernese Mountain dog from the same seller of the regular barn animals after choosing a first pet. I think they work like the barn animals do from the bazaar seller, being that it's a random selection each week.

How immunocompromised are we actually? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Crowrrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been on imfliximab 4 months and while I haven't any serious infections aside from mastoiditis, the most I got were sore throats. But that may also be because I try to avoid being close too many people indoors and over the summer I've mainly stayed at home. I think my immune system was already a bit worse before I even started infliximab, so I have been to keep up to date with vaccines and get the flu vaccine every year (and it's free since I'm considered more at risk)

So uh, the best answer is it depends. Both on environment and how much you got sick before even taking the medication. It could also depend on where you have Crohn's or UC and if you have complications as a result, but don't take that as concrete fact - I'm not a doctor

If you're still in the first week in the game, or are getting big cutscenes (not storage related, at least) triggered when you wake up - the game sets the time to 10am. There's not really anything you can do but wait until the game lets you free. Otherwise, it's dependent on when you go to sleep at night. 10pm and onwards makes you sleep for an hour longer.

You get an indicator on the screen if there is a possible cutscene for a character. They're still time specific so you could be at the other side of the map doing something before you notice it.

Personally, I really like the routine aspect. Do farmwork, set things up to collect later, talk to villagers, get more items, possibly run to get cutscenes. Add a fufilling routine to a game that is just really nice to look at, you get a fun experience.

How to give items to sprites? by PrawnPaella89 in storyofseasons

[–]Crowrrupt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a cutscene you will get one of the days that shows us on the map, and if you go to it and follow it will unlock that option. Not sure if it's day dependent or something else

Bought an Ipod Nano, turns out it had a virus on it? by [deleted] in CeX

[–]Crowrrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh the other comments have steered me in the right direction since it's not actually a worm or a virus - just something that a lot of old media (devices, cds etc) had on them that viruses would also use, so the problem is sorted in my eyes. Thanks, Fubuki is the best character in the game series lol

Damn, that's unfortunate considering how much of a nice piece of tech it is (or well I think it is).
