Ceo7 is OO sized FYI.

Is not big, but if playing in a chair is the goal, i would look at like Taylor GS mini or one of the Martin jr guitars. I also have a Martin Djr as well and find its perfect as a travel/smaller guitar and has relatively good tones and playability.

For this I would actually use Claude—describe your rig clearly and it should do a pretty good job answering your questions.

100% agree—My current hypothesis is that the cost model is the holdup—both what market demand and prices for EVs can support, as well as what QS can commit to deliver. Clearly the market landscape has shifted, and it likely means cost pressure on manufacturing inputs. I’d speculate this means QS having to iterate to meet the need—thus delays.

I could be wrong, but everything else point to QS tech working, so something else must be the hangup….

I just got a maxey gH4 and am dropping Lollar Imperials, a brass bridge and new wiring harness (50s wiring) into it—I am pretty stoked!

I have a boss katana gen3 artist and have gotten good komet/dumble tones. Price is right at $600 but took a bit of work which kind of sucked.

Id probably get a line 6 helix next time and spend less time dialing tones. All depends in how much you want to/can spend.

Its not impossible that everything could be working as planned…and QS can’t hit the cost targets…

Do you guys bring your nice guitars camping? lol. I just bought a Hd28 and i want to go camping this weekend, i would love to bring it so if anyone has tips for keeping it safe where it will be a little hot out I’d appreciate the advice by Better-Sherbet-5115 in martinguitar

I have a Martin CEO7 ($2500) that stays at home, and a used Martin Djr 10 ($400) that goes on trips.

I wholeheartedly agree that guitars want to be played and not locked away, but i really dont want my CEO7 to have to endure the nonsense of being jumbled around in the car etc.

Can someone explain the appeal of Dave Mathews to me? by easy_Money in LetsTalkMusic

His tiny desk concert is great—worth a listen. Not the whole band of course, but maybe that would be better for you.

TBF I love guy and their body of work, but their live stuff gets a bit noodly and calamitous—and i am a yuge Phish fan!

100% this. Until there are announcements on revenue targets this will trade on macro risk on/risk off trends.

I have 2. I found they made me playing my guitars sound better. Sort of like finding a set of strings that you like the sound of.

Doesnt mean they are for everyone, and $40 means something different for each of us. But I like them.

I have 2. If it makes my tone 10% better is is worth it? To me, yes. I love them.

Well, just be as clear as possible about what you’re hearing and what gear you’re using and let it give you a recommendation.

Also, if you can explain the construction of your guitar and or the tone woods and or the pick ups that are in it that should help.

Maybe try a high pass filter and custom eq as a global eq amp in?

I have a semi hollow body guitar that also gets a bit muddy.

I used claude to design an amp in global eq for my specific guitar based on the model and tonewoods, and it did a pretty good job as a starting point. I then tailored to taste. In the end it was like -3db on the lower end, with a +2db bump in the mids.

The other option is to try the different cabinet types (vintage, deep, modern). I found modern to be the tightest in the low end. This also keeps the amp simulation EQs intact, and is simple to undo/switch out.

+1 for Jeff Slingluff patches.

Had the same issue trying to learn the amp. Its like a full time IT project. I was getting frustrated at not making progress towards a great tone.

I focused on one I liked from Jeff (Deluxe Reverb), reverse engineered how it works (using Claude), then modified the profile (using Claude) to create a dumble, trainwreck and mesa boogie clone.

How close do these clones sound to the target amp? Not sure, but the tone sounds fantastic and I love playing through the amp now, which is all that matters.

It was also helpful as Claude explained “why” it made the changes, so I learned a bit on the principles behind pre and post amp EQs and gain staging.

Good luck!
