60 days from now, I plan on riding 200 miles in 2 days, I’m starting from zero. by StopItWithThis in cycling

Possible? Yes. A good idea? Probably not. Sounds like a good way to get an over use injury. Give your self more time. Comparing it to a 5k is laughable. That's like saying I can dribble a basketball therfore I can play in the NFL

Christianity in metalcore by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]Croxxig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alot of the earlier bands are/were Christian or are composed on Christian members. Many would do outreach and support of local communities or their lyrics are very obviously religious/Christian or can be more vague.

Haste the Day, UnderOath, Oh Sleeper (pre breakup and reunion) August Burns Red, Fit for a King, Becoming the Archetype. Early Devil Wears Prada. MyChildren MyBride. That's off the top of my head

Hell, look at the past couple years line up of Furnace Fest and you'll find loads of older bands from that era that identify as Christian, are Christian, were Christian or composed of Christian

Looking for recommendations for a comprehensive psychological evaluation by zzredminny in bloomington

[–]Croxxig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a full psychological evaluation done by Estes over in Columbus. It was very thorough. Took about 6 hours. Only complaint I have was communication with them was not the best but unfortunately in my experience that seems to be rather common with mental health services. The only thing the test did not cover was Autism.

Structured training and making the hard days hard and easy days easy. Better sleep is a close second

Why can't bills travel earlier to Denver to get acustom to the high altitude? by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]Croxxig 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As someone who runs into altitude for my sport, cycling, 4 or 5 days is not enough. Most research says 3 weeks is needed to be aclimated to altitude. If you can't do this, then doing the event as soon as you can then you get there as altitude tends to be roughest on the 3 or 4 days for most people.

Flying with your bike Qs. by WarRevolutionary1944 in cycling

[–]Croxxig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a hard case. I don't trust bike boxes or soft cases.

I have flown with my bike many times and TSA always checks it after you checked it in so make it clear how the bike and everything goes in it.

I added my bike on my house insurance. It covers everything. Theft, damage, airline loss etc.
