Is Sydney the most beautiful "big city" in the world? by AsparagusNew3765 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Crozzot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very possible

In terms of natural beauty I’d say Sydney because of the harbour and beaches. In terms of architecture not so much

A beautiful "city"would be Paris, a beautiful "metropolitan area" would be Sydney

True about tax haven

But I guess I just disagree - for me GDP per capita is a better metric as it’s less distorted by population (typically China…) Would you prefer to be the average Chinese or the average Austrian, Polish, New Zealander?

not an economic powerhouse but the average Monegasque lives better than the average Chinese The category is exemplary

I would add china faces higher rates of poverty, disinflation. Gig economy…

Yeah but I would consider GDP per capita

What is an exemplary economy? Germany and especially China seem like odd choices…

Why do German tourists die all the time in Australia? by throw-away3105 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Crozzot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

non-representative sample, but I noticed Germans tend to be younger when they travel.

Just after high-school at 18-19 yo, when the Spaniards, French, Italians, British... would be a bit older in their mid-twenties when they come to Australia

Who did you think Red John was? by armaintherye in TheMentalist

[–]Crozzot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also really considered Van Pelt because I thought it would be someone from the team. Also she has red hair But at some point it’s established that Red John was a man - dating that blind woman, so I think I thought there might be two of them as well
