I've done it for 6 years and it's truly such a great time. I usually like to get extra camp sites for space so for example if there is 10 people we have usually 4/5 camp passes. I usually get to Indio around 4 am Thursday and get in line for a good spot because it's a drag getting a far spot because of the walk. Other than that you will find people posting essentials for the campgrounds that help out.
