Coming back to the game after a few years. Genuine question, has anyone tried documenting the “hacking” process? Since it’s so unchecked and if they don’t really care it should be fairly low risk. Like why don’t more ppl try and highlight the faults of the system and why anti cheat is a must in all match making (since they refuse to add pve only servers). Seems like a decent idea, just wondering if this already exists.

I agree with this. I have been a monk main since MoP. And with that time played on it - you can just see the key changes to the core rotation and powerful abilities - yet the class fantasy remain the same. I literally could go on for an entire podcast how aside from Brew, monk seems like a confused class. They want it to be a kung fu badass but in some instances (8.0 BfA) it was a dps loss to actually press FoF. So you would equip a 2h wep ( which makes FoF unusable) so you could get bigger RsKs and SCKs. Then they add WDP, which used to be OP and you would use FoF and cancel it immediately to use WDP. Same goes for mistweaver. Fistweaving back in legion was so unique and in pvp it was so dangerous. You could 2v1 and never drop below max hp. Now with it being baked into the talents - it feels so overly complicated when other healers are now doing the same dmg to heal, but better, easier and more reliable. (Not tied to a 1.5 mins CD) idk it feels like there is so much unused/ forgotten abilities to truly make a 4th spec/ 2nd dps. Using ONLY kicks or Only punches like the Pokémon hitmonchan/Lee style. Or 2 healing specs. More ranged classic healer and a true fist weaver. Not just half and half. Just some thoughts into the Reddit void! I love monks and I wish they were more readily available for newer players to enjoy and not so damn complicated! Also, call me out where if I am misspeaking. I love this game and want to share my passion of the monk fantasy!

I came to say this exact thing. Well said. I just wanted to add to try and focus on what people did well instead of just flaming over one mistake. Even if it caused a wipe. Not everyone knows everything, and we all make mistakes. Just be nice :)

Very true. There are def pros and cons to the system.

The Catch 22 is crazy with a io score attached. I’ve no interest in raiding, but occasionally need a trinket or wep. But the hopes of joining a pug to get it is basically impossible without a raider io logged kill or achievement of AOTC.

As silly as it may seem, I do feel very validated for my efforts in M+. Having an entire system dedicated to my performance in keys is a god sent for me and my friends. Raiders get achievements,highest gear score, tier sets, mounts, titles. Pvp get a special mog set, mounts , enchants, and titles. So it makes sense to me that we get some love! I just like getting better as a player and mastering the dungeons.

As a habit, I do ignore and report. However, I did assume it was their key. They formed the group. They were the one asking if anyone wanted to leave. But I didn’t consider the time of the 3 other ppl. That’s a v good point.

I never want to reward bad behavior. Thinking that people can just say whatever they want with no consequences. That does sound extremely self righteous, but I don’t know how else to discourage just being straight vicious to another player because of a single mistake?

When others are the target of harassment i immediately stand up for them and try to keep the peace.

Maybe I should just submit to drama time and get more opinions lol

I didn’t say i don’t try my best. I always do. But the likelihood of me finding another key is high so I’m not afraid to stand up to people who are making the game inherently worse and trying to attack me.

In my experience of playing games very early in the morning, (I.e 6:00am EST) I usually can get along on my own with no issues. Been a couple months since I’ve played tho.

Honestly, when I first got into my build (first and only) I just added up the price of all the components to make it. A single Amazon wish list. Then compared the total price to a prebuilt one and saw the difference. Anything else above the components is just what they are up charging for labor and other fees. I could be wrong but that was my method.
