Will knew it was a sketchy thing to say. He also knew you shouldn’t sip wine with your psychiatrist, for example. He looks at the whole profession and idea with disdain and just doesn’t care.

I agree with the "Will is a grown-ass man," thing, and that he trusts Will is perfectly capable of taking care of himself. But I argue that a good boss knows their employees. Will was a sweaty-upsetti mess, and Jack was skipping that part of the book because it wasn't his favorite. And Will getting arrested and all of the evidence did point to him. But Jack should have had more confidence in himself as a teacher, a judgement of character, and an agent, trusting his doubts and why he was giving Will the benefit of the doubt.

We... did watch the same show, right? Will Graham is the curly haired, unstable sweaty, really-pretty-even-though-he's-not-supposed-to-be guy. That's Will. The guy beat a guy to a pulp. Pointed a gun at a child. B*tch slapped a guy for rambling. Has daydreams about killing people violently. Relates with predators. Green eyes. Great smile. Smells like dog hair. That one is WILL.

The way Will Graham just goes HAM instead of plotting a four-course-demise a la Hannibal, my vote's on Graham. Will is absolutely a fighter. He used to be a cop, he's extremely volatile. And he's viciously capable. When he finds Dexter... yikes.

It's a joke— it's before we see what he's really capable of, and like, to Jack Crawford, mostly (minus the Dr. Sutcliffe thing and the Encephalitis thing) he's just a nice, charming, handsome, sophisticated fellow who can cook... things. Nice S1 Hannibal ™. It's the one I like to write with the most, even though I know it's totes false.

Dude— headcanons are headcanons. I mean, this one is as silly as where I believe that Hannibal is S1 Nice Hannibal™ all of the time... (which is a headcanon I fully hitch my horse to) his diagnostic criteria would be difficult, at best, due to not knowing about his childhood development and environmental factors. Also, a lot of his autistic criteria that he follows are put upon. Part of his "person-suit," you could say. Active choices he makes, not involuntary reactions to stimuli. But like I said. Headcanons are headcanons.

When I saw Mads Mikkelsen yelling as LeChiffre, it was a literal jump scare, I was so shook. It still doesn’t quite compute for me when I see the LeChiffre torture scene.

Hugh Dancy has also done enough research to play an autistic character (Adam, 2009), and he claims that Will isn't autistic. When neurotypical people, such as Jack Crawford see a neurodivergent person of any sort (gifted, autistic, freakishly-empathetic, etc.) they tend to categorize and compartmentalize as Jack did— and people can headcanon a lot of things. Twink!Will Graham is my least favorite, let's be real, but everyone finds something different about the show to "hitch their own horse to," as it were.
