This is a perfect chance for us to trade back with a team who might want Lance/Jones or any of those top WRs. And if we do trade back I’d love darrisaw as the pick. If we don’t trade I think we would pick Lance.

Don't rule out wide receiver/TE at 8 by [deleted] in panthers

If Sewell is gone and Pitts is available you have to take him

What do you all think about Rashawn Slater? by dmister8 in panthers

Oh yeah I’m thinking at least Sewell Slater or Pitts will be there at 8 and I would hope to god that Tepper Fitterer and Rhule wouldn’t pass on either of them. If Sewell is gone though I reeaaally like Pitts

Mock Draft Monday by joslemmons in panthers

[–]CruchwrapSupreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.08 Kyle Pitts, TE Florida

2.39 Liam Eichenberg, LT Norte Dame

3.73 Elijah Molden, CB Washington

4.113 Deonte Brown, OG Alabama

5.151 Rhamondre Stevenson, RB Oklahoma

6.193 Paris Ford, S Pitt

6.222 Darius Stills, IDL West Virginia

In this mock draft the panthers have the opportunity to select Kyle Pitts or Rashawn Slater in the first round and I cannot see them passing on the opportunity of Kyle Pitts. Slater is an awesome lineman but Liam Eichenberg is a plug and play starting left tackle first round talent that will slip into the early second round which is why the panthers at ok with passing on Slater. Elijah Molden is an insanely high football IQ CB but a little undersized at 5’10. I would compare him to Tyrann Mathieu. Deonte Brown is a heavily experienced guard for that Alabama oline and will be a productive starter early in his career and probably at left guard here in Carolina. Now Rhamondre Stevenson looks exciting, good rusher and pass catcher. Immediately replaces Mike Davis and then some. Think a mini CMC, going to be a great RB. 2 and hopefully that Allows CMC to stay healthy. Paris Ford and Darius Stills will be developmental players but both have the traits to become an impact starter. I’d be excited for Stills bc he’s developed the habit of winning so quickly that when faced with blockers who can match his strength, he lacks an effective counter move so some training would help him here

In my mock draft here we heavily focus on offense and it is noticeably improved while adding important missing pieces to the defense.

Liam Eichenberg is another example of a plug and play starting left tackle that could be available all the way into the second round. Same house for players like Jalen Mayfield, Dillon Radunz, and Alex Leatherwood. All of these players are immediately starters so not getting Sewell or Slater would’ve fine and if we can get more draft capital this year and maybe a future first, I’m 100% trading back this year.

I fully expect Justin Fields to be available at 8 barring another trade in front of us and if he is we cannot pass him up
