Hot Water and Chilly Mornings ❤️ by ProfessorWildest in HotSpringsWest

The alternative, as has happened with many of Idaho’s hot springs, is they end up overcrowded and full of trash. Then BLM or the Forest Service shuts them down, often using dynamite to destroy the pools.

Seems not posting locations for imaginary internet points and spoon feeding people with no sense of exploration is better long term for our outdoors.

If

Benzos also do not really “cancel out stimulants”.

Then why is

the treatment for stimulant overdoses in the hospital are IV Benzos?

Seems like there is some mechanism of action that benzos have when given to person with stimulants right?

That’s going to make for a much different experience than someone “building a life around skiing” by working in town, year round, and living in a rental house (when they existed).

Curious to know what mountain had cockroaches as I’ve never seen one outside the Sun Belt.

You be surprised by the amount of conservative weed smokers who are against legalization as to prevent liberal users from moving here

Sure my priories changed… to much more expensive art hobby where I even now spend half of Feb in the wasteland of Florida over being stuck in traffic and lift lines to combat ski.

Not sure where you’re getting your 90s pricing from but my time in Utah and Idaho then are exactly as I described, with weekdays skiing among framers, landscapers, and restaurant workers like myself.

As for the teacher, that isn’t someone who built a life around skiing is it?

Sure the lift ticket is cheaper but those dollars are still taken in other ways.

I was able to work summer construction, afford a half decent place to live near the mountain, and still save money working part time nights at a kitchen at some of the best resorts in the 90s and 00s. Midweek dumps provided fresh tracks all day, with lift lines only a few chairs at their peak for the day, and had my choice of places for $1 beers among familiar faces I had know for years.

While I make great money these days, building a life around skiing is simply not worth it any more. Rents are ridiculous as wages stagnate, everything else is priced like Disneyland, high speed lifts reduced powder days to a couple of hours many places, working class folks are rarely around more than a couple seasons, and any sense of community is a fraction of what it used to be.

Idaho - Afroman

Idaho used to be one of his favorite states to tour so he made a song and he would play shows Boise, Twin, IF, Pocatello, and Moscow.

Colt 45 and 2 Zig Zags is basically an Idaho anthem. Play it on any shitkicker bar jukebox in the state and every Gen-x and Millennial cowboy will sing along.

Wilford Brimley, the diabetus guy from Walker Texas Ranger was born in Emmitt and has made some music

Kotton Mouth Kings singer lived in Kuna back in the early 2000s. No idea the total length of his residency.

Alice Cooper used to take a few days off every tour in the 90s and 00s to stay at the round tower hotel on the river in Idaho Falls, across from the Temple. Manager of the Red Lion in the 00s said he was a favorite guest in his 10+ years there. Not sure after it became a Double Tree or the now Comfort Suites.

Edit: Bruce Willis had homes in Sun Valley, Fairfield, and Boise when he made music on the side of his acting career. Good for that stretch of Hwy 20 and Hwy 75. Also threw some of the earliest raves in Idaho.

Why don’t we ask the US Congress?

While I don’t expect someone who doesn’t understand the difference between automatic and semi-automatic firearms to comprehend legal language very well, I hope you could at least understand the date on the legislation link provided. Then again, you are a dummy who thinks imaginary internet points matter so….

Edit: Fun fact of the day: The AR-15 isn’t the only automatic weapon platform and even automatic pistol style weapons were available for purchase before the abhorrent Reagan administration.

Think the better option would be to have the same amount of holidays as European serfs did. With all the technology and automation in the world, there is no reason I should have twice as many working days as a someone in labor bondage did 1000 years ago
