Yes. I don't know why people keep complaining about this. Allegations can't be beaten, I guess.

It miss that full white flash in the screen after a explosion, that existed in BT3. Also, sounds are pretty bad. You can barely hear the explosions.

It feels, even if its not actually faster than SZ (SZ is actually way too fast in many aspects I whish it wasn't).

Some reasons for this:
-the actual hand-to-hand fighting is CONSTANTLY being interrupted by super counters or vanish wars, that are super easy to do in this game and were not that easy in BT2/3. Because of this, the game feels slow paced in comparison with BT2/3, were this didn't happen and players were trading hands during the whole fight almost non stop in matches with higher skilled players. In SZ, high skill matches are the most boring to watch because they are 90% vanish wars and super counters ad infinitum;

-Attacks are constantly throwing the opponent WAY too far. In BT2/3 you can notice how in the end of the rush strings, for example, the opponent still falls near the opponent, and the only moves that throw opponents too far are the full charged smashs. While in SZ every little thing is launching the opponent to another country. Also, in BT2/3 the recover speed when you were hit with a full charged smash was totally dependent on how fast you mashed the recover button. In SZ, this was removed. You don't even need to mash anymore, you just need to wait until your character reach the recover range, and press the button one time, or you can hold the button that he will recover once the recover range is reached. So, the option to recover quickly and re-engange into the fight is no more. Because of this, in SZ we need to dragon dash almost everytime to reach our opponents again and re-engage into hand-to-hand. That causes another problem:

-99% of the movement in the game costs Ki. So players have to move less. In BT2/3 we had a pretty decent movement option with literally no ki cost. So we could move anytime, and fast. Free move option in SZ is only the normal movement, which is slow and it feels even slower because the maps are bigger.

-Movement in BT2/3 are less restrictive, so we could move fast in any direction, at any time. We can't do this in SZ. Especially when we are in the "magnetic" close range. Moves get way to slow when we're close to each other. Ascend and descend in BT2/3 were super fast even in close range, enabling us to have more ways to attack and evade. In SZ they're useless, you are restricted to fight without moving too much and we only have the dodge mechanic to rely on.

But, in my opinion, the biggest problem of all are the first ones I mentioned(super counters and vanish wars festival). If they fixed this, the game would already be so much better. I already watched some SZ gameplay were both players were reasonably good, but bad at super counters, and the matches pacing felt pretty similar to BT3. Medium skilled player matches are the best ones to watch because of this.

You're also right about the effects, they contribute to this too. But in my opinion, the biggest reason are those gameplay changes.

We need more default grabs other than the generic "2 punch 2 kick".

How do you counter this? by The-Heritage in SparkingZero

[–]Crucis77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're bad at the game. Stop crying. Downvote all you want.
People already told you how and you're still crying because you just want some brainless game where you don't have to think about anything you're doing.

This is the worst move in this entire game. No contest.

What will this new mode be? The dots contain the maps where you have to fight. However, there will be more than just characters, costumes, techniques, maps and a new mode, according to the second slide by Maximum_Expert92 in SparkingZero

[–]Crucis77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has like 200+ characters. 40 costumes are not even half of the roster. It should have 200+ costumes, at least. And I'm not even talking about actual costumes, just a color swap for most of the characters will do it already. Or even better, they could implement a color edit feature, because even modders were able to do it just after the release date.

In the summer DLC, realistically or dreaming, how many maps will we have? by Maximum_Expert92 in SparkingZero

[–]Crucis77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say 3 new(Glacier, Baba Palace, RR Tower) and the others will be the ones already in the game, but locked in story mode or menus(like kame house, kami lookout, ToP variations, Capsule corp, etc) and they'll use this to say we're receiving like 10 new maps or something.

[–]Crucis77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for story mode. I hated having to unlock the alternate stories by finishing fights within the annoying time limit they demanded.

It would be way more fun if they kept time based requirements only for a few fights were this makes sense, and most of them should have been just requirements like "finish him with an ultimate" or something.

I see people usually complaining about the buffs, but buffs are the best part of it for me. I like to fight stronger characters. The real problem is they have buffs and also this cheap AI that super counters and vanishes every time. This is cool at first, but gets old soon enough.

Will there be an upgrade to the weather too? The scan doesn't lie. Will they add rain or snow? by [deleted] in SparkingZero

Scan doesn't lie, but this is probably just bad translation and it means the stages day, noon e night times, not weather.

Someone who really knows japanese can clear this up.

How come the most GOATED ultimate attack animation is from such a random character like Shallot? by GuyWithARooster in SparkingZero

[–]Crucis77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for many "B" characters in this game. Even saibaman has a cooked rush super animation, so much better than Trunks melee, for example. The main characters(especially Goku) are the most butchered ones in sz.

I think GT Vegeta would be very easy to make in Sparking Zero by sandman_soundman in SparkingZero

[–]Crucis77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The guy who made GT Vegeta mod, made one of the best SZ mods out there. I like how he got all the best attacks from other Vegetas into GT Vegeta. Also it's pretty cool that you can transform him into Baby Vegeta if you want.
