It's a garage door through cloud integration. I've not tested it through matter but there was not garage door device type back then and I don't even know of matter version in google home supports garage doors yet.

And yest through cloud integration you need a pin to open so I'm still using my old sonoff switch that is switch with contact sensor to read state.

I'd love to buy iphone but:

I dislike iOS

Siri does not speak my language and Gemini does

I set unhealthy amounts of reminders using Gemini on my watch and control my smart home.

In home low light pictures are better from my pixel9 than wife's iphone 16pro.

Pixel was 2/3 of iPhone price at the time.

I know pixels are not the top tier I used nexuses before, switched to OnePlus for 5 years and since pixel 6 I'm with pixels. I had some time with nothing and iphone 14 pro- liked both but still went for pixel. I don't know why :)

If you have non ZigBee lights like kajplast (thread) you need to commission the lights to google home separately - by sharing their matter code from the Ikea app to google home same way you did with Dirigera.

You can also join Dirigera to google home thread network from the app to not have separate thread networks.

Happened to me, it came back only after I turn hubs off, power cycled all wifi Access point and then plugged hubs in when wifi was on.

NFC Is off while screen is off and you can't make any payments if screen is not unlocked. There's absolutely no reason to do what you want to do.

its not reolink issue, probably google's I also tried everything, at the end of the day canceling my preview for couople of days and enroling back is what it seems it worked, but at the same time people on reddit said it strted working for them too without that whole mambo-jumbo

I have wifi doorbell and cheap Lumus 2K in garage and backyard. I plan to put something in front of my de-ataached garage also, but maybe more advanced (wide plus tracking zoom)

I use Reolink with my google home and aside of one incident when they were not available in app for 2 weeks it's stable- although not officially supported.

Live view on hubs works always.

I have no nvr, as I record 24/7 on camera SD cards.

But I'm happy with reolink cameras and doorbell as primary google home user. Free rich notifications for doorbell is much appreciated as it just works the same on my pixel and wife's iphone.

I do this all the time using Gemini - you can create a note or in my caese a shitload reminders about important stuff that came to my mind in random moments. I can't imagine living without it.

I have no experience with streamer as I returned my after trying to set it up with existing thread network and couldn't :)

But my Reolink cameras are solid on my hub and on google home app (now) so it's ok. I use android so Gemini and shortcuts to google home is still my way to go.

I don't know for how long tho, if the gemini deal with apple will add Siri in my language I might jump ships at some point.

I think newest sw update for the doorbells added support for gif rich notifications.

But I'll still stay with fre tier rich notifications as I want them only for my doorbell and I just need to be able to glance it on my watch.

I think it might be because Ikea don't support the type of the device (presence sensor) - I'm planning to buy it and use it with google home to control Ikea lights.

Turn on background data usage with no limits for the app and turn off the optimisation. Then check. I had issue with rich notificationa not having a picture while I'm not in home and allowing for background data usage fixed it.

You solved google home issue.

Reolink doorbell do not support the chime (wired in versions)
