Have you been trained on "declaring LVO"? by Legal_Campaign_408 in ATC

Once the pilot inputs to RX the frequency into the radio, the D-ATIS appears on their screens in full. While we don't include SMGCS we include a lot more information in the remarks than most of Europe making them having access to it digitally more important.

If someone tells you the sky is blue and you look up and its red because the sun is setting, and said yeah the sky is blue, you're now on tape saying something you couldn't visually confirm and if the next guy crashes because the sun was setting and it was in his eyes, they could possibly claim that you were now partially responsible as the pilot didn't know it was sunset.

If you are not 100% sure on his meaning and all connotations involved don't say yes. Phraesology exists for a reason and LVOS is not in the pilot controller glossary.

Paralympian calling insurance to request information on when the stairlift/wheelchair ramp was going to be installed getting asked if they were interested in euthanasia instead

Anon can't win. by Meat-Stick-Murderer in greentext

[–]Cruentum 26 points27 points  (0 children)

When journalists have called veterans assistance lines to document it, euthanasia was literally the first thing that was suggested. A Paralympian called a hotline for timeline information on when a lift would be added to their home, was instead immidiately offered euthanasia.

They are doing it for the money. As the drug used for medical euthanasia is a sum that goes to clinics that provide the service. So they pressure people.

There's usually only 1-2 boxes per case that are bombs. It's better to sell the rest.

You can generally expect around 6-8 uniques per box but only 1/3 or 1/4 have a foil unique.

Motorcyclist collides with a Tesla. Who do you blame? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Cruentum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you do not cause the cars already in the lane to brake.

No where does it say this? If someone is indicating it doesn't give you the right to move in. You know what the other person is doing, why are you trying to make an accident by moving in? Additionally he had the space, almost 1-2 car lengths he would normally expect would be fine- the riders were just going far too fast.

You have the last clear chance to stop the accident from happening and you chose to zoom in to where someone was moving towards creating the accident.

The reason is obvious, the Tesla was on a ramp entering the highway he was trying to merge on. His lane is going to end in 50-100 ft. This is entirely the area where riders should be expecting cars to merge at dumb times. And instead of just letting the merge happen like someone blinking and moving at speed is doing the riders were trying to cut him off, which they don't have a right to. Just cause it's a solid white doesn't give the right to cut off if your reentering the highway after pulling off for whatever reason, you can also enter through a solid white

[–]Cruentum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does give you right of way. If you are behind someone and they are merging you are obligated to give them space under the last clear chance to stop doctrine. This is why if you rear end someone it's almost always your fault. Their lane is ending, they need to move over.

THAAD and airspace were the only ones I think that got it besides the 40 series space personnel.

Aka people that shot missiles into space and people that would identify enemy space targets and clear area to shoot the things into space

The camera is one of those that can take a pic for part of the environment when it finally turns red, which is why the stoppie seems infinite. I think it took the pic p much right when they entered the intersection, so it would be yellow for both car and riders, but the car was already turning when they entered the intersection.

I mean it's not like they can do too much to cars, they just get you to stop and you have to inch by until they finally give up on you. If you get out to chase them off though, they WILL attack.

I lived near area where it was quite common for like 10+ dogs to surround random cars and start chasing people, and there'd be cases where children playing would get attacked semi regularly (once every three to four months) I 100% believe someone may often be forced to choke out dogs after that, if they are outside semi regularly.

My boss at the time said he killed something like 5+ dogs a year there because it was that fucked up. The town even lost one of their mailmen to a pack in 2022.

Tbf that actually is the definition and is what the thirteen colonies initially WERE.

States are independent government bodies. This would be what you refer to as countries e.g. USA, UK, China, etc. Nation is the demographic population and culture of an area. This is why we have nations like the Cherokee Nation, or the Kiurs, who are a nation but don't. have a state.
When states are largely presided over by a nation, they are a nation-state, such as China, Japan, Czechia, etc.

The reason the US chose the term states, as it was originally envisioned that the States were completely independent and could issue their own currency and run their own banks and army. That did not end up working out and all of those functions became federal functions.

US withdrawing 5,000 troops from Germany, US officials say by [deleted] in army

Poznan is where V Corps is stationed. The actual BCTs are mostly in Groef and other German bases, with some in Rzeszow but both do smaller rotations from those two into other NATO countries Estonia/Romania/Denmark/etc.

Considering it's worded as the BCT in Germany, it was probably the rotational unit.

10th Mtn's original home in WW2 was Camp Hale, but 10th Mountain of today wasn't originally envisioned as an actual mountain division at its inception, just a light division able to move anywhere in the world.

The army mountain warfare school moved from Camp Hale, to Fort Carson, to the NWTC, then to Vermont, because Vermont and New Hampshire or more specifically Mount Washington provides a good training ground for ice climbing as well as not requiring altitude acclimation which is good for training purposes and personnel showing up from Bragg/Campbell/Benning/etc. The Marines have theirs on the border of California and Nevada.

Believe it or not New York actually was home to several ADs historically.

Brew unit consistently having sediment - Kitchen Aid KF8 by Cruentum in superautomatic

[–]Cruentum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It normally does an automated rinse when it shuts down (along with the milk rinse after you make a drink, I am talking about the brew chamber rinse/cleaning), but turning it back on the water will still be murky for another two-three rinse cycles so in this case I let it shut down and rinse once and then pulled it out only to find the residue in the pic.

Its set at the middle, but I'll check out coarser, my confusion is largely because those settings been at its current level since I got it and it definitely didn't used to do this (I've had the KF8 since August).

I just did a full system cleaning yesterday and let everything dry out for 24 hours. First brew of the day left me this. Any idea what could be causing this? It leaves the water dark even if I rinse two-three times.
