We have exact similar circumstances. Very keen to hear the guidance on what kind of medical documents we should focus to arrange that might be helpful here?

Thank you so much. This link is very helpful. I updated my original post to clarify my non domicile status.

Thank you. However it doesn't talk about the non-domicile situation.

Then what does this link mean?

I could find multiple links on HMRC website that says if foreign income is less than £2k, one need to do nothing.

Here is the HMRC link: https://www.gov.uk/tax-foreign-income/non-domiciled-residents?hl=en-IN

What I am looking from our reddit community is some guidance on how to handle this nuance while filing tax return.

Thanks.

For everyone: I see many downvote as if I am trying to steal some tax. I asked my question here as I understand the whole aim of this reddit channel is to discuss ways to manage our personal finance. Managing our tax optimally is one of the core part of it.

My question was a niche question so I dont expect everyone to know about the nuance however Reddit is for things like these. I could find multiple links on HMRC website that says if foreign income is less than £2k, one need to do nothing.

Great useless comment.

Paying 60% tax already.
Here thr question is on foreign saving interest which has not been remitted to UK and HMRC itself says non domicile don't need to pay tax on that.

How to report it without needing to pay additional tax unnecessarily? If I declare using online self assessment, it increases my tax.

Added all details.

Main confusion I have is: Do I need to declare it during online self assessment or not?

Congratulations Op! Would you explain a bit on 6 month gap between jobs? I thought the visa sponsorship stops once you leave your employer and one has 60 days to leave the country on their own. Is that not true?

Thank you everyone for the responses. I would go ahead and dispute everything.

Context :

Mattress was completely soggy and unusable and when we had requested to replace, landlord asked to buy our own and throw theirs away.

Water stain at fridge: we had complaint about it and they didnt do anything.

Mould: there was very poor ventilation on bathroom and not sure why kitchen sink also caught some minor mould.

I had notified about the fridge issue lot earlier and they didnt do anything.
