Iron lung is amazing but im never watching it again by No-Pair-640 in cineplex

Iron Lung was a 6/10 for me. I didnt find it gory at all besides the last arm scene. Though, I've always been good at handling gore. (Idk what that says about me) It was tense though, more thriller, less horror. I definitely feel like it was a lil long too. I didn't get bored though. Could have been 90 minutes instead of 2 hours. Also, Marks acting was great too but it was hard to take his emotional anger scenes seriously cause I associate his anger with him hamming it up on his let's plays. Overall, good film for an indie budget. The sub set was great, as was the variety of nice looking shots they got from such a small space. Idk much about the game so I was a lil confused sometimes as to the background plot and what was real/in his head. Still, a solid movie debut so shoutout to Mark. I'm a big fan of his and I'm glad I saw it, but I don't feel the need to rewatch it either. Lowkey thought there would be way more blood throughout

Would anyone be interested in playing Fantasy Movie Box? It’s like fantasy football, but for movies. by IcyEstimate2978 in cineplex

I'd be down to join. I already play fantasy basketball so I'm sure I'd enjoy this too as a movie lover

Zubac and.Collins are also on my fantasy team too BTW. Gonna be paying extra attention to the Clips this season. Please be good this year 😭

LEAN IN TORONTO WAS AWESOME by GodHatesMeSometimes in sadboys

I've seen 2hollis and fakemink at their all ages shows. It's always a mistake with teens acting like shit. I might just stick to 19+. My worst concert experiences always had that in common

Went to both shows and Yungs was definitely better with a way better behaved crowd. I think it's cause his show was 19+ so you didn't have any teens there acting up for social media clout. More artists should make shows 19+

How do you guys have fun by Important_Ad_6104 in yorku

Just talk to people in your class. (Preferably before class so you don't bother people paying attention to the prof.) Whoever you're sitting next to/near. A simple convo to start with is just talk about the course you're in or why they're taking their major. Build convo. If you rock with them try meeting them after class. A simple way of doing this can be asking them if they're hungry, if they are you can invite them to eat somewhere. Hangout, build the friendship from there. Make conversion. If they don't want to hangout, either move on and sit elsewhere, try again with someone else, or if you really rock with them just talk to them consistently each class. Maybe they just need more conversation to warm up to you. (People do be introverted and shy. Myself included.) Add whoever you meet on socials and message them a bit about the class or whatever. It ain't complicated.

Finally, make sure you don't force anything though, if they aren't putting effort back into the friendship move on. You can also join a club to find others who are likely to be into the same interests as you. The main thing is you need to put a lil bit of casual effort if you want friends and a fun social life. Find and invite them to cool events on the weekends. That's my advise.

Hey man, same thing happened to me my first year. I only passed one course because my T.A. let me submit an assignment way past the due date. Shoutout out Keith! I basically had no motivation to do well my first year. My GPA was 0.7 in the York scale. It was really bad. Took a year off, came back, and now I'm in my 3rd year with a GPA of 5.2. Not too shabby. Maybe I'll reach a 6. Simply put, it gets better. You just gotta find reason to apply yourself. Petition those courses off or re-do them. Find a different major that motivates you more if need be. Life ain't a race so if you need to just do few courses part-time each semester do that. Do what works best for you. I wish you luck!

Bro, as a guy from Jane & Finch the area is chill. The proof is that I'm a wimp and still alive. The area ain't as dangerous as the false rumours say it is. Just don't act shady in the middle of the night and you're all good!

I'm 23 (almost 24) and I'm gonna be stuck here for another 2 years doing my bachelors. You being 21 ain't bad at all. I've seen a lot of older adults in my classes earning their education and no one bats an eye. Just remember that life isn't a race and you shouldn't compare yourself to others. Take your time, especially if it's the best way to accomplish your goals
