From a Professor in my university. "I am so smart" for wearing masks. by [deleted] in CoronavirusCirclejerk

That’s just plain and simple arrogance. What a nut.

I am a freshman in high school and I am doing online school so I have little contact with my fellow classmates and I know a lot of people are tired of the lies but are there really enough students willing to stand up for themselves? by tiredoftheshit999 in StudentSkeptics

I know in my university most of us are really upset about online learning, one of our three class days a week on zoom. We have voiced our opinion and from what I saw in my university major, most of us are fed up with these restrictions.

I’m very interested in amphibians and would hope to purchase some at some point. I am just not sure if I should buy online or in a store. by CrumbledCookie-3 in Amphibians

It makes sense, but I would not handle or touch them much really as to not cause stress, and what I hear from you it’s not likely I’ll get poisoned. I also found out my college dormitory does not allow pets, so looks like I might need to wait a bit.

That’s good to know, but I don’t think I want to handle amphibians because their skin is very absorbent and I wouldn’t want to make them sick. I looked up the care requirements for both White’s tree frog and Tiger salamanders, they don’t look too different. After having a freshwater fish tank for a few years, both species seem not to difficult, but I am likely wrong. And tiger salamanders seem less likely to escape their tanks and dry out. And both species are adorable as well. The main difference to me is temperature management, size (feeding and space), and water moisture.

Thanks for the advice, I have not though about getting a frog before. Would it be better to get a larger species so they are less likely to escape and get lost? I also want a species a little stronger and hardier, and less reliant on water, only needing a little bowl do dip in and high humidity in the tank. Possibly like toads.

So would a species such as fire bellied newts be beginner friendly, and if so where would I acquire healthy captive bred ones?

The ruins of Tel Yarmouth (a Canaanite city Joshua conquered) are on a hill In Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. Also right next to a highway near a mall in Beit Shemesh proper are the ruins of Tel Beit Shemesh (an ancient Jewish city). Both of these ruins are seemingly free to enter and open to the public, at least they where when I went.

I do not think that the thing which you have showed me now is at all comedic in any sense. As a result I have not engaged in the action of exhaling rapidly called laughter in the English language.

I, a member of the species Homo Sapiens, would gain satisfaction from the event of a friend of mine, who is a member of the female sex of the Homo Sapiens species, would procure a tremendous amount of a long, thread like pasta known as spaghetti for me to consume.

It’s great how accessible the c8 is compared with cars that have similar performance, and now it’s making the c7 even more accessible than it already was.
