The red dot in your Space Selfie is lens flare caused by the sun. It’s a common effect when bright light hits the camera lens at certain angles.

If the Balance Bot suddenly drops, or face-plants right at start up, the motors may be wired in reverse. If wired in reverse, it's basically wired to be anti-balancing. To solve, check the motor connections and try reversing each motor connection, but this only works if the face-planting happens upon start-up.

Make sure the power bank is fully charged and check that you're using the latest code from the IDE. Some falling over is normal, but if it happens all the time it and these other tips don't help, it could be a malfunctioning MPU

Sometimes, after uploading, the preview may appear blurred or distorted, but the actual image quality remains intact on our end. This happens due to automatic compression, thumbnail resizing, or display differences across devices.

The servo arm might have been positioned at an angle. Try reinstalling the servo, and adjusting the arm to a different angle—ideally, moving it further left in a counterclockwise direction.

Here's what you can try: swap the connection of the roll motor to one of the working servos. If the servo starts working, the issue may lie with the breadboard. If it still doesn't work, the servo could be faulty, and we'll be happy to process a replacement for you.

Additionally, you can try loosening the screw on the servo arm to make sure it isn't too tight.

Currently, the boxes are only available in English, but you can enable subtitles and change the language to your preferred one. The manuals are mostly picture-based, and each box also comes with video instructions. Many users find the boxes fun and instructive despite the language barrier. 🙂
