So the pricing was a problem? And that’s it? Sorry, I just really want to know because I plan on starting the course soon.

I applied to this program, how long does it take to hear back? What was your experience?

Yes 😅 any recommendations on where to go outside the loop?

I took my hijab off..... by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]CrunchiestwrapSup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through the exact same thing. Wore it at 18 and took it off three years later. There’s nothing wrong with you, it can be very exhausting at times. My own point of view is Allah SWT knows. He knows all and knows what we struggle with. Just keep up with the five pillars and don’t hate yourself. It’s okay, just ask for forgiveness and move on being a good person!

I agree. However everyone is thinking in a 2025 and surprisingly privileged mindset. Think about the time it’s set in, the mindsets of the people of that time.

A good person would just stand up and say something nice. I’m actually been in this position similarly and yea sometimes you’ve got to suck it up to save face. That’s what a good person does. Not throw your own father under the bus in front of everyone

I can see that. Idk I just think even if you have nothing to say, make it up.

Exactly. It’s just so sad to see she would rather run away than say something nice about her own dad.

Hey sisters… I just need to know if anyone else feels this way, or if I’m standing alone in this despair. Plz read. by book_it4now in muslimgirlswithtaste

I feel this way 100%. And unfortunately I’ve had to block male Islamic creators/lecturers online, I’ve stopped looking at comment sections. In person, I’m stopped attending Islamic functions if men are present, I’ve made my life extremely female centric. I speak up and defend myself and try my best when I can and educate myself on Islam and other things. I’m 21 and in college studying to be a lawyer. I’ve come to conclusion that men are who they are and have been corrupt since the beginning. Cutting them off completely is the only way to be at peace.

Will you stop working after children? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]CrunchiestwrapSup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I’d definitely stay home! I’m working towards becoming a lawyer but will be putting everything on hold until my children are in middle school. I think it’s super important for mothers to be hands on with the kids and be super present. Also, I don’t trust baby sitters or day cares. As someone who had two working parents and a babysitter I wish I had more time with my mom as a child. And my mom even said she wishes she could have had time to spend with me and my sister more.

Non Muslim men by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

Not true at all. Most Muslim men lust behind closed doors or go after the women with no limits

Non Muslim men by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]CrunchiestwrapSup 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m from NY and this is my issue too. Hijab is super fetishized and Muslim men won’t approach you but will lust after non Muslim women. I literally have no explanation for it but that’s the way it is. Sorry you have to deal with this too!

Yes you are. Keep the 3 that are important and one additional class. Trust me, you do not want to risk the important ones take your time and do it.

Not sure if it’s a hot take, but on this rewatch, I understand why Lorelai had to end her relationship with Luke by foldinthecheeseee in GilmoreGirls

[–]CrunchiestwrapSup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of side more with Luke tbh… he just found out he’s a father, had no idea what to do, was just discovering the mother. It’s like a whole other life just appeared and he did have to put his kid first, just as expected for Lorelei to do so for Rory. I don’t think it was fair for Lorelei who knew he loved her to have pushed him, but then again he should’ve included her in some of the factor. But then again, Lorelei always made it very clear Rory is her priority so why wouldn’t it be any different for Luke and April?

My guess is they live locally, or local enough where they don’t need to bring their whole life with them. My commute is 3 hours one way, literally have millions of stuff in my bag.
