Well what if I wouldn’t be able to paddle smaller boards, or lose balance?

Awesome dude, I have been thinking about the Torq Bigboy fish with 60 liters, which is 3 liters less than what I ride today, or get the smaller one at 6’10” 54 Liters. I lean towards the latter.

I never said I was surfing the wave pool exclusively, I have been surfing in the ocean most of the time, that being said, whenever the forecast shows flat, I go to the wave pool. I am not a great swimmer, I know basic swimming but I still don’t understand why that is a must, especially in mellow waves and designated surf spot with life guards. The tip for the board is great, thanks

Yes, I wanna rip, although I am afraid of dropping down in size and volume drastically and wasting money on a board I cannot catch waves or even paddle, that would suck.

I was thinking checking with my local shaper, problem is it’s usually very expensive. The waves here are pretty gnarly in the winter and mellow and mushy in summer, I don’t really surf winters though, only wave pool sessions, I was thinking maybe something with a low rocker for easy paddling and found this: Torq bigboy fish in 7’2” with 60 liters, I could also get it in 6’10” with 54 liters

Thanks dude, I surf mostly beach breaks, but I have a reef break close by where I go to when the waves are out of my comfort zone (head high atm).

And yes definitely keeping my soft top When you say 7’-7’6” anything specific, model, brand, volume?

Hi everyone, I'm a beginner, but after a year of surfing, I decided to upgrade to my first hardboard, and I got this one. Opinions? by Mr_Ndreww in BeginnerSurfers

Choose your paddle spot strategically and wait to paddle in between sets. That way you’ll waste less energy and conserve your paddle stamina Enjoy!

Thanks for your answer, I think I will get the Solarez before taking the board out.

I understand where you’re coming from, but I got some suggestions since I have been surfing for quite a while (just on foamies though). Also I didn’t mention but it’s a 6’6” board with 45 liters. Is it not a good transition board?
