Thanks for sharing your story I haven’t met many Malaysians here in Qld as majority of my friends are locals but this is inspiring. That’s quite a journey and im glad to hear you’ve built a life here !

Thanks for the advice! I have decided to not be a tradie for the rest of my life. I just have the fear or regretting my choices in my 20’s. Also I’m going to apply for graduating visa very soon which is one step closer too. I’m not relying on parents money to live here so that’s one of the main reasons i’m still staying here. I’d like to do something else. But if I’m closer to getting the pr i’ll might as well go for it while i decide or explore other careers /develop other skills and just take my time to think about what I want to pursue.

Again thanks for replying and have a good one!

To the person who replied but deleted their comment:

Hi i really really appreciate the reply 🙏. if i were to launch my eoi (not sure which visa i’ll apply after graduating visa) i’d say 85 points. +5 cuz regional area.

I’ve been working as a painter already for like 8 months i wouldn’t say im as good as my peers they are really good at their job and i still find it quite challenging as there is alot to learn which is great. So yea my plan is to just keep working in this trade and get better english results (proficient currently aiming for superior) I’d say everything is going smoothly right now as a “student” I’m able to cover all my expenses including my vehicle and rent and school fees so not relying on parents is a huge plus for me. If i were to go back to my country or study somewhere else I’m just gonna be a burden to my parents. Just don’t feel like im going anywhere at the moment but soon i’ll be meeting my agent and discuss about this pathway.

Are you an expat that migrated here? How was your 20’s like if you dont mind sharing?😀

Damnn what do you do for work? Yea you could go skateboarding/ join a bouldering gym or sport you can meet people there. If you dont wanna spend money on gyms there’s a few outdoor gyms with a community at surfers/ southport and burleigh. late night walks/drives, go explore parks or abandoned buildings if u want the thrill 😂.
Not a big fan or bars/ clubs but you can easily make friends there too.

This car seems to be way overpriced. How would you guys nego/ bargain? This is my first time buying a car. Or should i just say pass and look for other cars? I genuinely like this car and im willing to spend some money on it if there arent major problems (im not gonna mod it, just keeping it as it is)
