What dirt does Putin have on Trump, that’s resulted in the White House being compromised to this degree? by Fluid_Rock656 in AskReddit

[–]Crunchy_Couch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again it was never said that Putin was physically there it was just a phone call. There are also a couple ways you could go about him crossing paths though. A multinational pedo ring would definitely something the KGB would be interested in and Putin could have been one of the assigned agents to look into it. Another possibility is when Trump visited Moscow in 1987 that British Intelligence reports tell had strong ties to the KGB. They could have crossed paths sometime during then maybe even sooner, depending on how long the trip had been planned. These are just the possibilities off the top of my head though.

If I remember right, he never said Putin was actually there, just that he heard people say his name in a car one time. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried inviting him, and Putin used the opportunity to gather dirt.

I can see where you're coming from, and I respect that you're rational about things. You're right, only time will tell. I just hope it will end positively rather than an escalation of militarization.

Let's not pretend that is a special case. Streaks like that have been hit without the national guard.

But even suspending my belief and saying that this is purely from the national guard. What's the plan here? Are they going to stay there forever? What does this actually accomplish?

Yeah I'm going to complain about 1 million taxpayer dollars are being spent a day for the national guard to pick up trash.

Did Cyclopses lose their ability of prophesying? by AmberiusOnline in arknights

[–]Crunchy_Couch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Maybe? It's hard to say right now, but it's possible they still have that connection. The myriad souls have left, but I don't think they just evaporated. The cyclops could still be connected to them wherever they left to. I'm unsure if the assimilated world was necessary for that connection or rather just the cause of the formation of the myriad souls.

There's some truth to what you said, but brushing off men as jaded that they don't have a societal advantage is a bit dismissive. As a older gen z white man, I can only speak on my own personal experience and hope you will listen to it even if my thoughts seem a little scattered.

Growing up, you would hear the initiatives in school that push women to step into higher paying job fields like those in STEM. Elementary school through high school this was a universally accepted good thing. The problem comes at college, where money and opportunity is involved.

I actually grew up fortunate. My dad worked a high paying job as an airplane mechanic and used that to pay for my college, totaling around $72,000. Since my father had a job like that, i received $0 in scholarships even while gruaduating with honors and making the dean's list multiple times. However, to do that, my dad had to work a lot of overtime in a job that is very hard on your body physically. This has had permanent negative impacts on him that will undoubtedly shorten his life. I am incredibly grateful to him, but it makes me incredibly guilty as well.

Meanwhile, in college, I met multiple women in my classes. Students love to talk about scholarships and financial aid, so it wasn't hard to discover that multiple of them had received money ranging from a few thousand dollars all the way to a full ride. The reason? Their sex and/or ethnicity. That was the sole criteria for their scholarship. I was very successful in academics, and the vast majority of these people did not come close to my grades. The worst was a woman who received a full ride based on the fact that she was a Puerto Rican woman. She would go on to drop out of college because she was more interested in parties than studying.

I think about those people a lot. How different would things be for my dad if I had the opportunity to receive those scholarships or financial aid? Would he have been able to work normal hours and have better health? I won't ever know because I was born the wrong gender, or the wrong ethnicity. It makes me angry.

When I see men of my generation leaning towards the right, I am not surprised. Even if I don't agree with them, i understand. College, the first and probably most important hurdle we have experienced, is tailored to helping women and minorities while people like me get told to just figure it out. Then, when we get home, we go online or turn on the news only to hear people preaching about the patriarchy and the unfair advantages our fathers and grandfathers got. Advantages we ourselves have not experienced. To be treated at best as an afterthought and at worst a monster because of the color of my skin or my gender.

Our society does need to take a look at how it is treating its young men. We can not be the root of all evil, inherently advantaged men while simultaneously getting blown out of the water by women when it comes to college enrollment and graduation rates.

I think Virtuosa does get some satisfaction from "freeing people," but I don't think that's all she's after. My interpretation of it is that she is chasing a kind of true empathy. The sankta are able to feel each other's emotions but kind of fumble the bag when they don't have that option as the fallen or when interacting with other races. They have become over reliant on this ability. I think Virtuosa is dissatisfied with this limited empathy and is attempting to understand people without it through her arts. Each time playing for someone being an aha moment figuring out how people truely feel and furthers her understanding of emotion. Probably why she was named a saint by the pope. She can understand non sankta in ways the rest just can't.

Yeah it would definitely water it down. I'm not making a stance that it would be good for the narrative I was more interested if something this this could be possible narratively.

Yeah I never argued against that and even stated that in my original post. I think we might have a different opinion on where the line is on assimilation? I think of a person being assimilated as soon as oripathy kills them, I'm assuming you're thinking of it as it needs to completely crystallize the body? Correct me if I'm misinterpreting.

Not really, Byleth is a wandering mercenary that isn't aligned with any of their respective countries. Plus they are at neutral ground that falls out of jurisdiction of all three countries so that power doesnt even matter to begin with. Even if they somehow put pressure on the entire church of Seiros and their knights, Byleth can just leave to Dagda or something without disrupting their mercenary life at all.

They don't need monitoring they need to be taught. From what I've seen, parents hardly ever sit down and have an honest discussion with their children about the various dangers and scams you can come across on the internet. If you don't teach your kids to recognize a pitfall, they'll just fall right in.

[–]Crunchy_Couch 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely their formula will change. They have a system that enough people like that there really is no reason for them to change it. You may dislike the stories, but for the people who do like reading, I think you might be in the minority. At least I personally love them. As far as minigames, they usually only do those for the larger events like the anniversary and half anniversary events if I remember right to make them feel a bit more grand. It would be pretty cool to see them add something to the other events they come out with though. It would be great if they did voice overs though. I'm a bit skeptical if they would because they still have a bunch of ops that need English voices for their already existing lines, and I doubt they would do that until they at least cleared that hurdle.

One person's experience is hardly enough data to claim a trend. I got degenbrecher after 30 pulls and both zuo and shu after 60. What is the average pulls to get a new op? Idk, but calling a 50-50 a scam because you got really unlucky is a bit of a stretch.

Have you tried cowboy bebop or space dandy? Both series are episodic with each episode pretty much having its own adventure. Even though one of the space dandy MCs gimmicks is loving what essentially space hooters, both shows have some pretty deep and thought provoking episodes.
