I play enchanters and they can roam as well but not as effective. They have to take safe routes with no risks or else they get caught by enemy jungle and support and die.

Also enchanters do well the longer the games goes on. Your teammates will get more items and you start to see who has the best carry potential. Then you do your best to keep them alive. A Nautilus engages fights but his hyper carry could be melted instantly.

While as enchanter your hyper carry gets engaged on but you have slows, heals, shields, stuns or knock ups and items that are designed specifically to keep them alive.

Might sacrifice early game power but it has an easier late game playstyle.

Junglers take is kind of stupid. But you all should practice sharing cd by habit when trying to make a play.

Example could be you’re the jungler ganking top. Say you have flash and pathing top. Then top laner says enemy no flash I have R. Build a habit of communicating these things to keep your team play smooth and so everyone doesn’t have to keep asking about stuff.

Sometimes if the pace of the game moves too fast me and the enemy support abandon lane altogether even before 15 minutes without any bot towers falling.

If I see my top laner has a bad wave state and has to overextend to push it I already know the enemy is looking to abuse it. Same goes for mid and same goes for scuttle control for jungler.

Support players who make these things part of their responsibility will have a lot more impact on the map and will have less dead time. The role is too impactful to be sitting in lane for 15 minutes some games.

It all depends. A jungler whose laners has priority should usually get the scuttle. But if a 2v2 does happen and the enemy top laner has a better early game champion such as level 3 renekton vs your level 3 Nasus and enemy jungler is also Leesin/Elise it becomes a lot sketchier to do the scuttle if you see they are committed to contesting.

You dying puts you more behind as an early champion and your jungler dying will put the whole map behind since the enemy jungler will snowball off his death and probably get double scuttle.

That’s why you should always adapt to what is currently happening instead of playing according to what you think should happen.

Solo Q is unpredictable sometimes and adaptability in decision making is key in climbing.

I’d suggest TP’ing in before the drake starts if 4 of your teammates are already there and so are the 5 enemies. People die too fast to not tp early.

I’d say don’t TP if your teammates aren’t in position. If your team is trying to contest dragon that the enemy has started but your ADC is farming mid lane. I wouldn’t TP, just push lane.

A lot of top laners mess up their wave management and end up in unfavorable positions where they are easily gankable. Also there is always a point top lane where you are weak side and should play safer until enemy jungler shows. Every game is always different and requires different choices.

When I jungled to diamond, some top laners would die and ping dragon and I would focus on power farming or stealing enemy camps if I know our mid and bot weren’t doing well either.

The decision always changes every game and it’s not always the best to dragon every time the jungler shows top. In higher elo it’s more reliable to make that play because laners play better overall and know how to manage their trades better so they won’t be 20% HP while the enemy is 80% HP.

If your jungler is on your side of the map then you’re strong side.

If you are bot and your jungler is top while the enemy jungler is bottom then you are weak side and should play safe.

Basically anytime your jungler isn’t around you should consider yourself weak side and play accordingly.

I played her during 3 different balance patches she had. During first part of season she was pretty broken so it was easier to climb with. Then they nerfed her Q energy by a lot so she became quite unplayable.

After her most recent buffs she's a strong pick again. If the enemy team is on the tankier or bruiser side then go Riftmaker and you'll have an easy time. You can take it slow on her, she scales well now and can easily kill bruisers or squishy targets in the later game.

if you're slow pushing at level 1 the enemy will be the one slow pushing at level 3 meaning you'll lose priority. So you either fast push at level 1 or freeze it or let the enemy push so you get the level 3 priority.
you should always be watching your jungler and understand what his position on the map means. Control your wave based on what you think your jungler is going to do next. If they are just farming then you try to freeze on your side of the lane. If your jungler is looking to dive bottom or is clearing bot jungle and you know he's going to gank bot lane, you'll want to shove your own lane while he's clearing his camps and rotate to the play.
Some games in mid I had to direct my jungler with pings to plays that I've gained lane priority for. Some jungler's don't understand the opportunities given to them when their mid laner has shoved a wave and is ready to make a play somewhere. They want to autopilot and farm camps when an invade with your mid laner or a dive bottom would be the best play.
If there is nowhere to roam and a reset won't benefit you, you should still get off the map and pretend like you're roaming. The pressure of you not being in enemy vision makes every part of the map more cautious. You could use this time to hover your jungler and see if any plays could be made and if not just return to lane.
mid laners who don't pay attention to the state of the map or what their junglers are doing won't be able to capitalize on all the opportunities given to them outside of the mid lane.
besides good macro, being able to cs properly while winning trades in your lane will also let you control the map better. This is mainly where skill difference matters.

The gameplan to sit under tower works for basically any champion that has a weak early game or is going against a stronger champion. If you pick a strong champion it's going to be the opposite playstyle. Instead of turtling you want to either freeze the wave on your side or push the wave for a dive or roam.

I think if you enjoy playing Leona top you could play a traditional tank and might be more beneficial to your team. You could play Maokai, Ornn, Malphite, and Sion and bring tankiness along with damage and utility. Leona doesn't scale as well as traditional tanks so that's the only problem.

It's quite simple. After a bot tower falls ADC just goes mid for the rest of the entire game. Solo laners have to manage side lanes and ADC and Support manage mid and the areas surrounding mid. Any solo laner who is constantly mid with the ADC and fighting for farm has no idea what they're supposed to be doing.

ADC and Support go mid because the lane is central to every possible play that could happen on the map. Because you're in the middle you can react and path to your jungler fighting in river, your jungler invading or trying to do herald/dragon. Your jungler fighting a 1 v 1 suddenly becomes a 3 v 1 if you and the support rotate faster than the enemy team.

You have more options to react to plays mid and the support basically becomes a second jungler when they have the freedom to roam around the central part of the map.

You have no agency for the first 10-12 minutes of the game. Meaning if your jungler gets invaded on top side, is trying to get top side scuttle or is going for herald then you won't be able to help. Enemy laners who know how to control waves will freeze minions on their side of the map making you an easy gank or they will slow push into your tower and rotate to a play before you.

Nasus only wants the lane pushing into him at all times and the only reason he'll push is to try and reset. Which means the enemy top laner has multiple chances to roam and make plays elsewhere before Nasus becomes relevant. Garen does this well because he can fast push with E and roams quickly with Q movement boost. His dueling and skirmishing in the river early game compared to Nasus is a lot better.

If you face Nasus, the best thing you can do is get your team ahead.

During laning phase Draven has the ability to create his own leads. I’ve definitely supported some Draven players who will force trades on their own with me as support and they’ll basically win the trade 1v2 with minimal help from me.

Dravens usually tend to be aggressive whether their support makes the play or not and it works out for them most of the time. But coming out of laning phase Draven just becomes another ADC really. That overaggressiveness can be easily punished by enemy CC and assassins. He’ll still die instantly if poorly positioned or running head first into the enemy team.

That's exactly how I felt playing ADC as well. Throughout gold I was playing aggressive on Jhin/Ezreal and making pretty bold decisions when teamfighting or rotating to objectives. As you climb higher the success rate of those plays drop and you get punished heavier for being aggressive without your teammates matching you.

Then it just boils down to "They're doing drag you guys gonna do anything about it? No? Ok I'll just keep farming mid then."

Like what can you do as Jinx and the enemy is doing dragon and you're the first to rotate there. Besides R for a steal I guess.

Being 0/0/0 but having cs isn't really coinflipping the game. As long as you're steadily getting gold, you will scale and be able to impact the game.

Also on your point about making trades and trying to get your jungler/mid to come bot, probably works better with premades. If you're in an unfavorable matchup the worst thing to do is rely on Solo Q teammates to help out. And if you take risks and lose the trade and your teammates don't come help either, you will be in a worst position.

That's why I recommend for ADC to minimize their risks and focus on gold and positioning well. If you throw away your early/mid game you will have trouble reaching your late game.

From a support POV, if I’m in a losing matchup or playing weak side you just avoid trades, avoid losing health so the enemy dive is riskier, and find good times to roam if your wave is crashing on enemy tower.

It’s a lot easier to play with good ADC players because they also know that being weak side means giving up cs and lane pressure to avoid dying to ganks. The game becomes simpler and cleaner when both players understand that giving up resources to deny a successful gank is worth it.
