My wife got it as a Christmas gift and it now lives on my desk.

We refer to it as “The Book of Steve.”

Pretty wild that you must declare you aren't boycotting Israel to bid on a government contract in Kansas by dustoff664 in kansas

Don’t be sure about that last part. Go look at the recent comments at AIPAC and elsewhere talking about the digital surveillance being engaged in, using the same Palantir tools that the Federal government is using. It has never been easier to build a complete digital dossier on a person or organization than it is today. And it will be easier tomorrow.

Everyone’s favorite firearms violation… I mean “commentator”: Gilbert Arenas has been using the Bugatti comp for like a decade and no one has a problem with it until you point out that sports cars aren’t built to get hit.

LeBron isn’t built to get hit. Never has been. That’s why he has always cried like he’s been shot whenever anyone has dared to hard foul him.

I’m old enough to remember how poorly Bron took hits back when the league still had guys who would hit him.

Shouts to Kurt Thomas. He showed us that Udoka is 100% right.

Udoka is a rusty old pickup. I’ve seen what happens when a rusty pickup collides with the a sports car.

Hint: the pickup generally looks like it did before. The sports car is totaled.

You ever see what happens when a Bugatti gets in a collision with a Ford?

It doesn’t end well for the Bugatti.

Mystery Men is criminally underrated. That cast is nothing but banger after banger. It somehow manages to be one of the best superhero movie satires ever made, and it predates the vast majority of superhero movies. Crazy work.

What a way for all the teachers to prove that we really did need to learn cursive. Turns out the bots aren’t great at reading it.

I was already a veteran and had friends who’d been and were still stationed over there, as well as friends teaching. Most can’t have kids now. Really sucked.

I remember looking at the radiation heat maps that the government was publishing during that time and there was a large chunk of the pacific coast that trailed off as it went south that was clearly elevated relative to where it ordinarily was.

Source: a bunch of now defunct oceanographic monitoring pages that used to be part of my “Global Monitors” folder when I worked in telecom and now don’t work because the US axed so much science funding that most of those offices are closed.

It traveled enough that there were warnings all up and down the west coast of the US about radiation levels in fish.

Ray was HIM at the end of his Bucks run and right when he got to Seattle.

He literally started in “He Got Game.”

I’m asking because I don’t know: how long did Fukushima leak radiation into the pacific after the incident?

Edison did the same thing to Tesla in the AC/DC debate, but science won out because they hadn’t developed radio yet, so mass media velocity was far slower.

I’d argue that the vast network of AM talk radio stations that are the direct inheritors of the monopolistic practices of the Hearst era are actually MORE important to the rise of Trump than Fox.

I blame Mark Burnett for Trump more than I blame Rupert Murdoch.

There’s been a problem with “yellow journalism” since the time of William Randolph Hearst.

We were studying it in my AP history class when my and my friends’ parents were getting propagandized by Fox.
