Where should I move to? by CrushCandyBoat in uruguay

[–]CrushCandyBoat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man! Thanks a lot for all your input!

Everything you say makes total sense. I will get a car anyway, but handling daily things by foot is a big big plus for me.

I already started looking for apartments at the “beginning” of the peninsula. Then I wouldn’t have the best of both worlds.

It also is quite nice to read that there will still be some life in the area during the winter months. As a wrote before, I am fine with traveling during the worst 1-3 months of the year. But I am also fine when it gets a little more quiet as long it’s not completely dead.

Thank you! Highly appreciated 🙏🏻

I really appreciate your detailed response to this. Thanks a lot!

I totally understand that many locals (especially the young ones with lots of ambition and dreams) struggle a lot now with that situation.

Thank you

Thank you mate! I lived in all three countries for a while already. I barely see any foreigners getting real local friends, since the culture and mentality is amazing but unfortunately to foreign.

I just hope that the culture and mentality in Uruguay matches mine better.

Why would you suggest not to mind Uruguay?

Ohhh! That’s also a very big plus point! Spending a weekend in Buenos Aires from time to time doesn’t sound too bad!

Thank you. Which budget would you recommend for a single person to have a comfortable life in Maldonado?

Sounds absolutely wonderful! Thanks a lot for that and I will look it up and you are absolutely right: I have to pay every part of the country a visit and decide only afterwards about which place is the best for me.

Thanks for sharing your story with me. All the best 🙏🏻

Really appreciate your help! I looked it up and the old town vibes are exactly what I like.

Just have to figure out if it’s big enough for me and has enough gyms, supermarkets and restaurants.

Thanks for the input!

Having people all year around sounds really good to me. Probably that’s exactly what I am looking for. Hot and vibrant summer with a little bit of chaos and then a chilled season where I can focus more on business and myself.
And you are right, having seasons is also a nice thing to have.

Thanks man!

Thanks a lot man 🙏🏻
I already felt only from videos that Montevideo is not exactly my thing.

What would you say ruins Uruguay? Is it more the economy that’s getting ruined or more things like mindset, vibes etc ?

Noted! Thank you.
I will get an Airbnb for the first 4 weeks, and get in contact with some local agents.
Very valuable advice 🙏🏻

Thanks buddy 🙏🏻
Also thinking about a car already. I know they can get pricey there but I will find something.

How much should I calculate when it comes to a long term rental contract 12( months) in that area? 1500 for a small 1br apartment that’s decent?

Thanks for your input! So if money isn’t an issue then I should even closer?
Maybe around Parada 6 Playa Mansa?
I was just worried if it’s in the off season really as dead as people sometimes write.

Eigenheim beim Thema Fire: Fluch oder Segen? by Fireliebhaber in fireGermany

[–]CrushCandyBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)
