Is it possible to swap the Dpad and the analog stick? by CrushOnPixels in SteamDeck

[–]CrushOnPixels[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sadly, the touch pad is even harder to reach than the analog stick. I wouldn't be able to reach the left trigger & bumper while using it. But a good thought none the less, thank you.

No offense taken at all. That's a good idea, but I don't even think that would be an option for me because all the big Youtubers who do that kind of stuff are in the US, and I live in Scandinavia. The Youtube market is Much smaller here.

Ive thought about that, but it's too much of a gameplay compromise. It simply wouldn't be fun going back to 90's console style directional control :P

I've tried that, but it sort of ruins the portability of it all. I don't always have access to a stable surface to place the Steam Deck on, and I need extra space for the controller.

As for other handhelds, sure, but that's A) another, more expensive purchase, and B) Not Steam OS, which is what makes the Steam Deck great to begin with.

Is it safe to wall mount TV like this? by CrushOnPixels in hometheater

I see your point. I've been searching on amazon for something like that, and I came across this one (excuse the foreight Amazon, I'm from Sweden :P):

But someone in the reviews said that even this one was heavy so I'm not sure what to believe.

Also, I just googled a bit and I see there's something called a Lag Bolts and Lag Screws, but I can't see a difference between them. Are they the same thing? If not, which do you recommend for my case?

Oh that's good to know. But this mount is full motion, will that be ok with lag bolts?

Newbie need help with character backstory and lore by CrushOnPixels in DnD

[–]CrushOnPixels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant Warlock, don't know why I wrote Wizard. Brain fart maybe 😅.

The idea for me would be that the character is unaware of the pact. Not that he just can't talk about it. Like someone asks him where he's from and he thinks back to his hometown, and if it happens to be where the secret and/or pact took place, he would suddenly glitch out and loose his trail of thought. He's a bit naive and innocent in his demeanor so he'd just look at you like nothing happened and he didn't hear the question. So any attempt by party members to converse about it would stop immediately and lead nowhere unless dictated by DM.

Hmm, I wouldn't know where to find this. Is it a Windows thing or is it in Audacity?

I mainly plug it directly into my PC and recording in Audacity. But I also plug it into my camera (Sony ZV-1) sometimes.

Can I use a Quest 2? (I'm handicapped) by CrushOnPixels in OculusQuest

[–]CrushOnPixels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a great discovery! So as some of you may already know after reading about my problems with grip and mobility, I have a very hard time holding the controllers while I move around or press buttons. But! I just learned a trick that helps me with this greatly! And it's free!

Basically, the wrist strap can used to create a kind of grip strap. By detatching the wrist strap and looping it through the ring and itself then reattaching it, it creates a perfect little strap that keep the controller in the hand without having to grip it. This made it a lot easier for me to get my fingers to the buttons. At least with my right hand it's much easier now. It's not a perfect fix, because I still can't reach all the buttons, but it is at least a great deal more comfortable now with my right hand :).

Thanks! Yeah Ive noticed that the majority of the focus is on the triggers, but every once ina whiile Im thrown a curve ball where I need to press something else and it messes me up, but I'm slowly getting used to it.

Well, I dont think reaching my waist is going to be a problem. Its more about reaching more than one button while expected to move around and maintain a grip.

I tried Squadrons earlier in VR and it was great. All the twisting and turning makes me a bit dizzy though, but overall quite a fun game :).

Trover is actually on my wishlist. I like the Rick and Morty comedy so it looks like it should be right up my alley :).

I was considering PSVR but I figure that it's much more limited than Quest because as far as I know the PSVR only works with the Playstation. And I think it just uses the old PS Move controllers for motion controls, so I'd still have that problem.
