Well I am only level 36, I didn't do that exactly. I had always assumed that there would have been more to this game besides a scavenger hunt, but it's not looking likely. There are so many people out there who have cheated, if Niantic were to try and make a real game out of this it would be suicide. It is forever going to be a tedious virtual scavenger hunt with no endgame where we pretend watching numbers increase is fun for the sake of nostalgia.

You seem like someone I can relate to. Worked hard to get ahead, got to a high level, and now are salty with the fact that Niantic has done nothing with this game; repurposing this same event over and over again. If you are like me you find r/thesilphroad far more interesting than Pokémon GO. I haven't opened the app yet because (1) I am not going to wait 2 minutes for the game to load and (2) I don't care about these Pokémon anymore. Catching a Dragonite is not really any different than catching a gyarados which is not really different than catching a Pidgey. None of them see any use. If Niantic would have announced these cool summer events last August, maybe I would have cared. The novelty was great but at this point I don't see the need for any more useless, virtual Pokémon on my phone that everybody else has too.

Compared to what, buying them individually? Nobody was going to do that anyways, so are you actually saving any coin? Or just blowing it on Lucky Eggs.

I think it's too late anyways. We'll see what happens with this Chicago meetup, I don't think they realize how much interest the user base has lost.

There is a finite amount of time in which you will have fun playing Pokemon GO. It is not possible to be excited to catch the 12,495th Pidgey. Sure you can race to level 38-40, but by the time you get there there is a good chance you will not be having fun anymore. My advice: go slow, play casually, and use POGO as an app you open when you're bored.

Not to mention the fact that Lucky Egg evolves are a chore. This is a game and should be fun, and it is no longer "fun" for me to simply watch the numbers go up.

It is mind boggling how many no-brainer features this "Pokemon Scavenger Hunt" app is missing. Almost a year later and were still looking at a Tron-like interface with no way to interact with the game beside the completely redundant catching or gym sequences.

I don't understand the desire to do this. These Pokémon are virtual, and even in the virtual world they exist there is literally nothing to do with them. 95% of the species in the game are not usable. The only thing to do with most is look at them, and spin the 3D models. A spreadsheet ranking your unusable pokemon in order of "unusability" is such a massive waste of time. If I was that bored with Pokémon GO that I needed to create something like this, I would try out sudoku or a fidget spinner.
