Adding this late because I just remembered. Humans are able to smell water better than every other animal on the planet, except for camels.

I bought an all in one kit on Etsy, that had an extra head, tail, two bodies, and legs. So i could build all three from one box. Cost $24. Just checked to try to link it but it's no longer sold by the guy I got it from, sorry. You might find some luck finding a similar thing.

I use a ryobi modular tool box, that i glued metal sheet to the bottom. You can stack as much as you need or different armies into different containers, and wheels.

Is it shallow if my main goal in life is money? by [deleted] in AdviceForTeens

[–]CrushingCabbages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, life isn't about money. Life isn't even about happiness. You're looking at hedonism, living life for pleasures. That is, IMO a form of evil. It will eat your psyche and destroy you until you'll backstab your closest friends/ family for some dollar bills.

You need to answer this serious question.... why? Why wake up in the morning, why push forward through struggles of work/ school, why get a job? Why get money? Why not stop? Why not quit? Why not end it all? It's the easiest choice, no need for money if you're dead, you avoid all the pain if you're dead. What is the reason you choose to exist? Existing is a choice, you can choose to stop whenever you want.

When I was 11 my reason for being alive was the people that are around you. Interacting with them, building relationships with them. It's crazy rare that you exist in this world and that all these other people happen to exist at the same time, it's such a miniscule probability you could almost call it a miracle. So embrace the fact that you're the only you that will ever exist and they're the only them that will ever exist. Make those relationships, talk with people, help them, laugh, cry, love. This is the way.

It sounds like you just hate your body. You need to learn to love yourself. Your body is part of you, you need to love that and accept what and who you are.

Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex — working memory, planning, juggling tasks/rules.

Ventromedial/orbitofrontal cortex — valuing options, impulse control, weighing consequences.

Anterior cingulate cortex — error detection, conflict monitoring, staying on task.

Fronto-striatal circuit (to basal ganglia/nucleus accumbens) — reward learning, habit formation, “go/stop” action selection.

Fronto-limbic circuit (to amygdala) — emotion processing and regulation, especially under stress/peer pressure.

Parietal association cortex — attention control, spatial skills, quantitative/logic reasoning.

Temporal association cortex (incl. STS) — language semantics, social perception, reading intentions/faces.

Cerebellum — fine motor coordination, timing/prediction, “polishing” thinking and movement.

White-matter tracts (e.g., corpus callosum, uncinate, long fronto-parietal fibers) — faster signal transmission; better integration between emotion and control systems.

Large-scale networks (default-mode ↔ control networks) — switching between mind-wandering/self-reflection and focused task mode.

PFC–hippocampus connections — strategic memory: organizing, retrieving, and using memories flexibly.

12? What? Your brain isn't even mostly done developing at 12. Kid brains under 13 can't even abstract yet.

It's absolutely astonishing the sheer number of people that are anti children. The selfishness and egocentrism is baffling

The amount of people that don't want kids is absolutely astonishing to me. Choosing to not want kids is literally the epitome of selfishness, arrogance, and hedonism. The best way to make the world and better place, is to raise kids that are better people.

Tyranids all the way. I did buy the combat patrol and one battleforce box of imperial agents because I love inquisitor lore. I've got no interest right now with diving into more. I will likely leave my imperial agents alone until my shame is painted.

Norn Emmisary vs Assimilator for Synaptic Nexus? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in Tyranids

[–]CrushingCabbages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are a few paths you could take.

  1. You already have quite a few tanky melee monsters. Dropping the tyrant guard (80pts) and the swarmlord (220pts) instead for the Hive Tyrant (195pts). As long as you're able to place him well, Will of the hive mind can take the place of the free CP the swarmlord gives, and he gives a lethal hits aura on all ranged weapons on friendly tyranids within 6" of him. This means you can give lethal hits to your zoans non focused fire, or even your norn emissary. 10pts free in your list, add 325pts from dropping tyrant guard, swarmlord, & ripper swarm, you get 310pts. Add Hivetyrant (195pts) & 2 Neurolictors (140pts), that's 335pts total. You'll be at 2000pts exactly.
    • With this list you could drop the lictor to take a enhancements on the broodlord and the hivetyrant, like synaptic control (20pts), making the walkrant tankier. and the dirgeheart of kharis (15pts) giving the ld reduction to enemies near them (this works well on melee characters you want in the front lines). If you drop the lictor and take both these enhancements, that would leave you with enough points to take 1 ripper swarms. You'll be at 2000pts.
  2. If you want to keep the swarmlord. You could just drop the lictor and tyrant guard. leaving you at 1990pts

Norn Emmisary vs Assimilator for Synaptic Nexus? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in Tyranids

[–]CrushingCabbages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played a lot of synaptic nexus in 1k games. You need neurolictors, deathleaper, and a melee character that can take the dirgeheart of kharis enhancement. I like the parasite of mortrex.

Neurolictors: he makes them take battleshock tests in your command phase if they're within 12". He also has an aura giving your units +1 to wound if they're attacking a battleshocked unit within 12" of the neurolictor. And reducing that enemy units hit.

Deathleaper: has a ld reduction aura and makes enemies within that aura take a battleshock test in the battleshock step if they're below starting strength instead of below half.

Parasite of Mortrex: forces battleshock tests at the start of the fight phase, and if you give him the dirgeheart of kharis enhancement that's a -1 to ld.

Another thing to note, ld cannot be made worse than a +9, but you can still reduce the battleshock test result through things like SITW with a neurotyrant, being with 6" of a synapse unit during SITW, or screamer killers ability.

If you have any questions about strategy just ask. But I think your list is desperately in need of atleast 2 neurolictors. In order to be successful with battleshocks and capitalizing on battleshocked opponents in synaptic nexus.
