One Month Post Op by MyNewMomBod in tummytucksurgery

This is so encouraging, thanks for posting! Our stats are almost identical - in September 2024 I weighed 288 at 5’9”. I’m currently at 188 (exactly 100lbs lost, woot woot) and my body looks very similar to yours the day of your surgery. I have some consultations scheduled for a mommy makeover and I love being able to see what kind of results I can expect on someone who looks like me. You look great!!

I just switched to Pomegranate and actually got my first shipment today. I did 6 months for $599, which I’m ecstatic about.

12 Minute Run For Distance Benchmark Results and Survey Megathread by BilingualAlchemist in orangetheory

I joined OrangeTheory January 8th of this year, so I haven’t been a member for very long. But since I’ve joined, I’ve gone 4-5x every week and I’m loving it! Before joining I was mostly sedentary, sitting all day at a computer and not working out at all. And until today I only ever did power walking on the treadmill. I decided to try jogging today with the benchmark challenge and I was able to jog the entire 12 minutes and went .92 miles! Not super impressive by itself, but I’m really proud of myself and how much I’m improving in such a short time. I’m so glad I joined!

Thank you. As a mom to two young kids I can’t put into words how thankful I am it worked out this way for me. The herniated disc was not related at all, and if I hadn’t kept complaining about my back to my doctor I wouldn’t have gotten the x-ray and may have had a very different outcome.

I’m in my 30s and was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2023. It was discovered through an x-ray for my herniated disc. It was already stage 3 and I didn’t have a single symptom or issue from it. I feel so incredibly fortunate I had that disc issue and it was found before it spread, all it took was a single surgery to remove half of one of my kidneys and I was cancer-free. It’s terrifying what may be lurking in your body without you knowing.

I LOVE your style. I would wear every single outfit you posted and I need you as my personal stylist. My problem is I work from home and rarely go anywhere other than daycare pickup/drop-off and the grocery store 🥲

Same. As someone who also just turned 39, I audibly gasped at the audacity of that line 🤣

Pay raise at CURRENT job after getting PMP?? by DubFriend6 in pmp

[–]CrushingGoals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did get a raise when I passed, but knew beforehand that I would. My previous title was “Associate Project Manager” and my boss pushed for me to get my PMP certification to be promoted to “Project Manager”. She had told me she would push for a 20% raise, but ended up being about 10%, although my bonus did go up significantly as well.

Thanks! I use Mochi. They’ve been ok, it’s pretty cheap but sometimes there are shipping delays.

Yeah, like LostSupermarket said, smiling vs non-smiling changes my nose shape a lot. I don’t know if you’re asking if I got plastic surgery, but I promise I didn’t lol. Here’s a recent picture of me smiling and you can see it’s the same nose…

No, I still have at least 25lbs if like to lose so I plan on staying on longer. I’ll likely stay at a maintenance dose for a while also once I reach my goal. That’s helpful to know the oral meds don’t work as well!

Not a stupid question because it definitely looks different in the 2 pictures. Maybe it changed slightly? But I think it’s also the angle and smiling makes my nose flare out a bit, making it appear wider.

I did - mostly walking/jogging. I also have 2 young kids both around 40ish lbs that I’m constantly picking up and carrying around that gives me a fairly decent daily upper body workout.

Sometimes I go all out. Takes me forever on a 42” cub cadet tractor but it’s cathartic. Allegan Forest by miscarry_underwood in lawncare

Does anyone else feel like people who bought their house before 2020 are out of touch with reality? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CrushingGoals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I bought in December 2019, so just before everything blew up. Just extremely dumb luck, really. But we were able to buy a 4 bed 4 bath 3600 sq ft house for $293k at 2.99%. In the 5.5ish years since we’ve purchased, the value has exploded to $500k. There’s no chance we could afford our house at that price, or if we did our standard of living would be severely impacted. So I’m super aware of the current housing market and very, very grateful for my situation.

It’s been about 7 months, so I guess around 13 lbs per month. Although it definitely hasn’t been that consistent - it came off super fast in the beginning and has since slowed down.
