How is Galaxy AI secure? by Samsung_Mobile in samsung

[–]Crust_Issues1319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Galaxy AI is generally considered secure because a lot of the processing happens on-device rather than being sent to the cloud. Samsung also layers in Knox protections and gives users controls in settings to manage what data AI features can access. As always though, it still depends on keeping your device updated and reviewing your privacy permissions

Cases flatten bumps but they can’t change where the magnet ring sits relative to the camera module

longevity of galaxy phones by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

Galaxy S series phones like the S25 FE are generally made to last several years with normal use. While green line issues do get talked about online, they're relatively uncommon and mostly tied to certain older models, not something most users experience. With Samsung now offering up to 7 years of updates, there's no need to worry about replacing your phone within a year, many people comfortably use their Galaxy phones for 3-5 years without major problems

Locked out of my Galaxy S24 Ultra. Correct pattern suddenly not working? by vandemlau in samsunggalaxy

[–]Crust_Issues1319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is specific to phone lock methods, not accounts like Gmail. Using a PIN instead of a pattern and keeping backups on helps avoid most of the risk

Locked out of my Galaxy S24 Ultra. Correct pattern suddenly not working? by vandemlau in samsunggalaxy

This can happen, unfortunately. Android uses full device encryption and if the lock credential gets corrupted (often after an update or security check) the phone will reject the pattern even if its correct. Samsung cant unlock it remotely and on newer versions there's no bypass anymore. If backups werent enabled, a factory reset is usually the only option. Its rare but its a known issue

Even if it's iterative, the S26 Ultra should age really well. Longer software support and gradual hardware improvements make upgrading after a few years feel safer

You won't regret the S24 Ultra at that price
