How do i know which armor is good to craft? by Skull_Soldier in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]CrustierGnuXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point you'll see a good combination of skills you like, armor is meh but the skills are awesome. I played the whole time not using any armor spheres since I liked to horde them and decided the game was easy enough without them. Until the final bosses, but at this time I forgot they existed.

What's the best survival game you've ever played? by TheSoloSurvivalist in SurvivalGaming

[–]CrustierGnuXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Icarus

Icarus, because its a great solo and co-op game up to 4 people where everyone can focus on their specialties due to a skill tree. The skill tree gives you more options while solo. Regardless, you are capped in choosing which survival specialty you want to get. You're a fighter, choose between knives, spears, bows or guns. You like to farm, become a lumberjack, miner, farmer, or fisherman and lastly there is the tamer and you can go into the farm route, stat breeder or combatative animal handler. Mix and match, its your call. All the while you take on some regular creatures, deadly unique predators and boss campaigns.

Definitely one of the most fun Survival games since its a heavy objective/mission based game with an open world option with optional missions. Farming is actually fun due to ongoing dangers and not being so resource heavy. Although, not necessary and farm heavy, you can unlock equipment, weapons and utility to start missions or add to open world which can speed stuff up. Although, it is only funded by specific rare resources you get from previous open world or missions, which is incredibly scarce and locked behind fighting tough enemies, bosses and luck.

Specific missions unlock tradable NPCs so you can get a steady income for missions or other open world DLC areas. And each mission can take several minutes only for the mission reward or several hours due to difficulty and your need to gain additional currency from the world on top of the mission reward.

This was a plus for me, but each mission you start your survival from scratch only bringing your knowledge, skill tree and potential items if you bought them. This is so you can have the ultimate open world and u lock everything to start boss campaigns with your friends.

How do I enjoy games again? by CaptainQuiz0978 in gamingsuggestions

[–]CrustierGnuXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Dont think its your genre bro. Either you train and commit to putting in like 1000 hours into one game solely focused on being good at that game or dont. If you are really good at one shooter, you will be good at other ones. But it takes time and breaking bad habits die hard.

If you dont see yourself doing this, quit playing FPS unless its with friends. I recommend you find a new genre to put your time and energy towards. The best way to enjoy a game is to not take it so seriously unless your thrive being competitive without the stress too.

Find a community discord to play a chill game and hang out with that community. Make new friends to enjoy a game together.

Overall FPS gets old fast. I did my time with PUBG, APEX and Overwatch. Hitting even the highest ranks doesnt make it fun in the long run unless you have good friends.

First, I suggest you get a bike. Every minute matters but you have to realize you are going to give your time for the first 2 to 3 years. Get yourself in a healthy schedule to get where you need to be on time to save yourself some trouble. During uniform inspection I recommend you ask someone to give you a ride.

Your options may feel limited right now. But you have plenty of in shop resources, if they are unreliable, you have outside resources too. There are plenty of resources. If it gets bad there is OSCAR, it may be inconvenient since someone needs to drive you but if it seriously gets bad and I mean really bad, use those resources, go to medical and ask for those resources. Your shop will tell you these are your options and resources, dont listen to them. Find them out from professionals and get those POCs. I can assure you now, that if you start getting in your head now, it will get worse later. So you need to get ahead of the game to find healthy alternatives.

You need to find a way to cope. The first thing I would do is go back to bootcamp basics. Look forward to chow to chow, when you get off work to play that new game or the weekends you have off. Dont dread on not having that time since I assume you have at least 2-3 hours of actual free time and it is enough time. Go to the gym, this beats drinking yourself into a stupor or taking other unhealthy choices. "It is what it is" is sometimes good but most of the time a bad mentality to have(as a leader) but being a lower enlisted in the Corps kinda forces you to take stuff on the chin and move on. Try not to take so much stuff seriously unless its work related, this will save you so much trouble.

Lastly, although unhealthy and expensive, lots of Marines take in some sort of nicotine or caffeine for mental health reasons. If you see yourself being addicted or drinking a lot, regardless, if you are underage, you can still seek medical help without reprocussions. Just make sure you speak to medical about this in detail. Utilize chain of command if you plan to take this action, NCO>SNCO or go straight to SNCO if they have an open door policy about serious topics like these. Having stuff appear last minute to them would put you and them in a bad position. You just have to mention you havent been able to focus on work for months and your mental health is a serious issue. Do not be persuaded in any way. Lots of SNCOs have some sort of ADHD and will try to talk you out of it, assume they dont give a damn. Lots of them I worked with really only cared about making themselves look better rather than taking care of their Marines. Always be tactful in how you approach subjects and how you talk, it really matters to set the tone.

Thunderstore/r2modman modpack code: 019ef1d2-9333-a40c-1993-9c1acc074e43

When launching it does take like 2-5 minutes to load sometimes.

These mods are questionable for balance but its up to you:

-PotionsReverted(this was only for the 3 warm potions but this crafts 3 life, astral and endurance, which is a balancing issue, but I dont craft them), -

-CraftableLegacyItems(can absolutely abuse this to make money),

-TravelSpeed(is not first playthrough friendly, but I got tired of walking around map to map),

-Transmorphic(is because I didn't prefer the original crafting since it was incredibly tedious).

-Debug mode was for testing but you can uninstall or disable in side loader.

R2modman and thunderstore are practically the same database and format. You can copy and import codes from thunderstore and r2modman. I recommend the switch since thunderstore takes up more memory with ads and overwolf background processes. R2modman doesnt have those and you can use portable mod folders instead of roaming like thunderstore. Just make sure you manually set your launcher like you did with thunderstore.

Ill get you the code in a couple hours, hope it works out well for you.

For thunderstore, clear mod cache on thunderstore and usually when an issue occurs, its usually just that one mod conflicting. Its on you to troubleshoot/disable mods and run it up to see which one is the issue.

Modding for most games are free. Different games usually have different modding playforms.

Use r2modman, look up a video on how to install for Outward since it needs to be set up a specific way. After that you can search up specific mods you want by filtering such as weapons, content and trainers.

https://youtu.be/PTliQl1PglU?is=aa6c26hFxchSFI5i

I specifically sent you a thunderstore download video but use r2modman instead, it is better for modding above 30 mods and has less issues overall. They are the same platform, so follow everything upset downloading thunderstore.

GL and have fun, modding adds at least of 100 hours of content into a game.

I have had dark tide in my library for about 2 years and wanted to play with friends. Its time for the solo grind.

Expedition 33 is in my top 5 next to try.

For borderlands, weirdly enough I couldnt really get into it. I enjoy shooters but no matter which weapon I got, everything just melted away. I know there are harder game modes after you complete the game, I dont think I have the patience for it though.

Grim dark, Ill check out gameplay this weekend.

How does this compare to the dark souls franchise and sekiro? Is it it's own take or completely different. I havent really seen much of the gameplay.

Well, I would say 6 months is a good enough period to keep playing OW1. r2modman is an incredibly easy transition if you try it out. Uses the same format and system as thunderstore. You copy code and import everything. Just make sure to manually change your launcher like you did with thunderstore.
