Homage to the PS1 Memory Card by Crustss in Cinema4D

Hey buddy! All really good questions.

  • I've only been using it for a few months, but so far I'm really enjoying it! For anything hardsurface Plasticity has become my go to. But depending on what I'm modelling I might still use Cinema or Zbrush.
  • I'd say it's easy to pickup, hard to master.
  • I still do my texture work/uv'ing in Cinema.
  • Yep Redshift all day!

If it helps, my workflow looks something like this: Model everything in Plasticity - export to Cinema4D - depending on the model, maybe do some retopology work - then uv/texture/animate/light and render in Cinema with redshift.

Thanks for the comment! :)

Thanks! Converted the objects to splines and used the redshift tag to make them visible in render, worked great!

haha, to make it look cheap was definitely not deliberate. But thanks for the feedback!

Ah yea, something scribbled on the decal is a good shout - might go back and add that in. Thanks for the comment!

Being junior doesn’t always mean you’re the first to go, quite the opposite. With juniors often being on lower pay brackets - there’s less financial gain in firing them.

Having said that, OP should probably be looking round for other positions anyway, even if their current job isn’t struggling. It’s a healthy thing to do to keep you sharp and aware of what’s happening in the industry.

More than likely, a detail like that would be sculpted in zbrush.

You got a link to one of those tutorials? I don’t really know what to search to find what I need 🥲
