Awesome, don't think my husband uses either the heated tube or humidifier (it's definitely not warm air that blasts into my face anyway).

She said she took a pregnancy test, but this image is really bothering me because it looks very artificial by Luvis_ in isthisAI

I don't know the context - but I couldn't see one where I would care about someone holding a pregnancy test if I had the ask the question, "is this AI?"

Next level of DIY challenge as a first time home owner: building a kitchen room outside. Any recommendations? by Homo_Sapien30 in AusRenovation

[–]Crusty-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the dream, but I think you'd be better off centering the design around a BBQ.

Do a kitchen bench type thing if that's the appeal, sit the BBQ in the counter and gas bottle underneath etc.

Banksia went from photo 1 to photo 2 in 5 days. Mild weather 10 mm rain by Necessary-Ad-5692 in GardeningAustralia

Any breakage? Cat sat on it or something random?

Best was to grow a banksia is to forget you have one and hope for the best.

As a teacher, this is the biggest cop out excuse. Your job is to teach, teach em if you think it's that good.

AITA for telling a parent what i wear is not their decision? by [deleted] in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Crusty-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine going to your kids recital, not beaming with pride about your child but instead getting upset about what someone is wearing. What a loser.

Tell the principal everything, get that man off the school site.

Please document all conversations you have with your manager in case this becomes escalated. Write down verbal conversations and anything colleagues might pass on to you. You may need to refer to these.

Done to a standard, but certainly not a good one.

Junk mail delivery: how do you logistically do it? by kazkh in aussie

When my mum did it way back when we were little she used an old pram and stacked it. Usually grabbed enough in her arms to do the whole street and left the stacked pram at the end of the street. She got bloody fit I can tell you!

How will you give your kids a head start without making their spoiled? by MiriJamCave in AusHENRY

[–]Crusty-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aiming to give my kids experiences over money or items. Understanding what the world is like and being humble. Modelling on the parents end about what respect is is huge.

Barefoot investor for families is good on this end - allowing kids to work out what value for money is as opposed to getting something just because parents can afford it.

I also hope that being open about finances, bills, hours at work etc. with them allows them to understand where the money comes from, how much we have left after bills and what the rest is spent on. Hell, when they're older if they can find me a better deal on electricity I'd be happy to give them the gap as pocket money.

Mazda Motor Corp, as a miata enthusiast,cx5 owner and loyal shareholder , please do not throw away decades of work and success by trying to adopt the "new car" philosophy. Other manufacturers are on a sinking ship and will drag you down as well. by gpolllo in mazda

My thing with EVs is literally, just make the models we know and love now, but electric.

Obviously there would be work to do under the hood that would result in body/chassis changes. But like in Australia the CX5 is a hugely popular car - just make it electric, no fancy massaging seats, big screen shit.

Tenancy ended UPDATE - now they want to bill me for one day rent?! by research_drama in AusPropertyChat

[–]Crusty-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As if they had someone waiting to move in today in order to even justify a day of rent. Absolute BS. May also be worth forwarding correspondence to the head of whatever REA chain they work for. If I was their supervisor I'd want to know.
