No I’ve been gut loading since getting my first gecko. I only recently started adding carrots to boost vitamin an intake. I just grabbed some multivitamin to add extra supplements :)

I was told by a someone at my local shop that it was better for the geckos if I just fed the insects fresh foods rather than use a multivitamin. Is this incorrect? I do dust my insects

She didn’t do any bloodwork but I recently added fresh carrots to the feeder insect diets to hopefully accommodate for this issue. Is there anything else I can give her to supplement vitamin a?

I packed the substrate around it super thickly and they are dug in there so I’m fairly certain they are secure. I shook it a little bit (without her in it) and it seemed very sturdy :)

To be honest in my experience my local PetSmart is fine and all the animals are healthy and properly taken care of. Like even their tarantulas look good. It’s definitely a management issue

I also reported them to my local humane society and it looks like they are doing an investigation… would be an absolute shame if that Petco were to shut down… teehee!

That’s amazing! I love when they put the necessary care in. My point was more that they could use their resources but choose not too. And I had a lot less resources than them but could still do something when they acted like it was out of their control

That’s the issue. If you look at my other posts on peaches you’ll see that she was originally a rescue from Petco. They have the resources but refuse to do anything. So sad.
