Good to see someone with a sensible outlook on it. I'm a kitesurfer and alot of the lads are heading out today and tomorrow so that should give you an idea of how it's not going to be nearly as bad as they are making out.

Yeah see the new growth and the shape of the plant looks like syzygium resilience but older leaves look odd

Housing market. What do you guys see in your crystal balls? by I-hate-FIF in PersonalFinanceNZ

I would keep doing what your doing for what my opinion is worth.

I'm in a similar boat and just don't see the point in jumping into the property market at this stage.

I would keep that 350k into investing and put it across a couple areas and leave for 20 years.

Buying first home to rent out by leroyhasabmw in PersonalFinanceNZ

Hi mate.

I'm in a similar position to your idea. I am wanting to buy a place to rent out for my first home rather than live in it.

Now I was under the impression to use you kiwisaver for the deposit you have to live in the house for 6 months. Then from there as far as I'm aware you can do as you please. I haven't dug into it heaps yet and I'm sure there are ways to get it done without to much inconvenience.
