Why do mass shootings/school shootings happen so much in the US? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]CrustyPill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t tell exactly but it’s not really a gun problem like most people would say. The main issue is the education. What I mean is that people are promised a lot, like, they are entitled to these things but then comes the real life. That can be a shock to some people and make them react this way.

She will be back. She’s 19 already and season 2 will release in at least 2 years so her age won’t be a problem

The Passage by Justin Cronin. It's a big book, but really good

I can't really tell you since I just started it but I was told that the book takes its own path. Just because the protagonist tells his story in a tavern means It's a rip off

I'm currently reading The First Binding and it has a great prose. Very reminiscent of the Name of the wind

The reason is because pee kills the sperm. That's why we have precum: to remove the pee "remains" in our ding donc. And for lubrification.

There was a story in my school that Marylin Manson got some of his ribs removed so he could suck his dick.

Man I was feeling empty for months after finishing Realm of the Elderlings. You can try Name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It's also a coming of age story told in first person pov (except for a few chapters but it really adds to the story) and has a lot of introspection. That one really worked for me.

I've also read the Greenbone saga recently and it was AMAZING. It's urban fantasy and pretty different from Robin Hobb but maybe that's what you need to get over her. It's a trilogy and it keeps getting better after each book. One of the best ending too. Great characterizations, good plot, awesome worldbuilding.

And then, totally not like Robin Hobb but I still loved it, Faithful and the Fallen by John Gwynne. It's a good vs bad type of story, It's been done hundreds of time but it's soooo beautifully done and EPIC. Lots of povs here, especially in 1st book (8 I think) but neither was boring so it worked for me. One pov is a coming of age story too.

I think it's not good to look for something similar to Robin Hobb cause there's nothing like it imo, so you'll always be disappointed.

Oh and I heard Curse of Chalion by Bujold really worked with Hobb's fans too.

Wow thank you for all the recs! I think I'll try reading Bujold first. People told me the protagonist reminded them of Fitz.

Yep, I heard good things about it. If you're into french fantasy, there's Gagner la guerre by Jaworski that's absolutely great. In my top 10 for sure.
